Hillary Negotiating Secret Pardon With Obama’s White House Counsel
True Pundit ^ | December 27, 2016

Hillary and Bill Clinton are secretly negotiating framework for a potential pardon from President Barack Obama that would spare Hillary from looming criminal indictments, according to Justice Department sources.

But there’s a catch, as there often is when it comes to legal proceedings and the Clinton family. Neil Eggleston, White House Counsel to the President who oversees and approves all presidential pardons and commutations, was previously employed by President Bill Clinton’s White House as a key lawyer to the former president and Hillary Clinton. Also, Eggleston has previously represented Cheryl Mills, a key Hillary attorney believed to be involved in Clinton’s clemency negotiations.

Even though she has not been charged yet with any crimes, the Obama pardon would shield Hillary from any criminal charges she could face under a Donald Trump administration and a Sen. Sessions-led Justice Department.

Sources said Obama green-lighted the Clinton talks with Eggleston prior to departing for his last vacation in Hawaii. However, allowing the Clintons and their attorneys to negotiate directly with Eggleston smacks of a serious conflict of interest, whether or not the sides agree on acceptable clemency terms for the former secretary of state. In an corruption-free administration, Eggleston would step aside and recuse himself from such negotiations having served as a Clinton family lawyer during the most tumultuous period of Bill’s Clinton’s presidency, including his impeachment.

But the Obama administration is anything but corruption free.

Hillary Clinton is the target of at least one criminal FBI probe for mishandling classified and top secret emails and government secrets and possibly other criminal charges as the FBI is likewise investigating the Clinton Foundation for money laundering and pay-to-play involved crimes.

Clinton family legal consigliere David Kendall, who co-defended President Clinton with Eggleston during Whitewater and the Lewinsky affair, did not return requests for comment.

Thanks. I think. I’m not sure blanket pardons are what our founding fathers intended, but there’s the precedent. Thanks again.

While I’d love to see her locked up where she belongs, the more important thing for the country is that the Clinton Crime Foundation be shut down. Hillary is done anyway, but the foundation is the lifeblood for her replacement(s). Killing it is like cutting off the head of the snake.

Can 0bama give Hillary a blanket pardon, even though she has not been charged with anything, or does it have to be somewhat specific?

Has happened before. But no one challenged it with Nixon. So it is not tested.......................

Obama might be able to shield Hillary and, presumably, Bill from their criminal activities. However, the financial misdeeds do not suddenly get waived. The IRS and the various states should be able to sue them as individuals and the Clinton Foundation for illegally obtained money and for money illegally shielded from taxes. Those should be jail time offences at the state level if not the federal level. All it takes is one AG with the standing and the guts.

This would be a HUGE favor for Trump. It would take the pressure off Trump to “lock her up”. Meanwhile, cases could go forward concerning the Clinton Foundation. Heck, I wouldn’t mind seeing her be declared a war criminal by the Hague for her activities as SoS. If a pardon happened, hillary wouldn’t even have the chance to defend herself. History will record that she was SOOO crooked that she had to be pardoned to stay out of jail!

It doesn’t matter.

Obama will be prosecuted and that will make any pardon from him null and void.

They were just too clever.

Thanks. Same supreme court that okay’d baby murder? There’s just something inherently wrong with blanket pardons that do not list specific crimes. But, there it is!

I don't think Trump would challenge it

The Appeals Court slammed her yesterday.

Pardon for what? Is she actually admitting guilt of a crime?!

The power to grant pardons is given to the President of the United States by Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, which states in part:

"The President ... shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

Guess it would have to be a Reprieve instead of a Pardon

Reprieve defined:

a. To prevent or suspend the punishment of (someone, especially a convicted criminal).

b. To prevent or suspend (a punishment)

Barry knows that any such pardon would finally be the end of Clinton political power...and he alone would be left to pull the levers of power.
He will destroy her, once and for all, with a grin on his face.

But she is not the only rat in the corner.

Unless Obama has an ironclad agreement from Trump not to prosecute his commissars, a pardon of Hillary does him no real long term good. The quid pro quo with Hillary is that the embarrassing information the Clintons have on Obama stays secret if she is pardoned. However much of that information will be given up by the commissars to save themselves hard time if prosecuted. Also Trump is not happy with Obama and his behavior since the election. Also a large segment of Trump’s base is demanding that Hillary be held accountable. Yet Obama may have something on Trump that explains his recent behavior and reassures Obama that Trump will not prosecute his vulnerable and potentially talkative commissars.Bottom line: Obama pardons Clinton

"Harry Reid was right when he described the Dems as an Old Folks Home."

The Demonicrat Party is the home for lying murdering traitors. They can't all be pardoned.

If she’s behind bars, foreign agents wouldn’t be able to reach her.

There is a perverse incentive for 0 to keep her publicly available.
