There are Cubans who liked Fidel Castro?
Its always fun watching left-wing journalists get chewed out.
In this case anticommunist author Humberto Fontova excoriated liberal talking head Soledad OBrien for her claim that sections of the Cuban population liked the recently deceased Communist dictator Fidel Castro.
The friends and family of tyrants tend to do well. It’s when you fall out of favor that’s the problem.
You could say the same about Hitler. Did a lot for german people. Those in power liked that power.
O’Brien and his ilk would not last five days in Castro’s Cuba.
Her
Really. That is what she said.
Solddad is a female leftist witch.
Blind eye. All lefties want to be the wealthy leaders and not the poor masses.
They exploit the masses with flowery words and some token gifts.
They only seek power and to them fake admiration is just as good as true admiration.
That’s why they give each other awards and have fancy galas.
Wouldn’t her Cuban relatives weep to hear this Commie bitch talk like this?
There was a Black Panther who came back from Casto’s Cuba and famously complained how racist the place was.
Definition of soledad
1 : the quality or state of being alone or remote from society : seclusion
2 : a lonely place (as a desert)
If anybody could identify racism, it would be a Black Panther! < /sarcasm >
What hole did she crawl out of? I haven’t heard anything from her in something like five years.
That would be Soledad, as in the State Prison.
heh heh
Looks like her bios don’t mention her work for Al Jazeera America. Imagine that.
artists was black and the black cubans supported him.
Batista
I remember her from CNN. In addition to being a lefty, one of the dumbest people I’ve ever seen on TV.
Your comment should be engraved in stone...her head stone.
I suspect that the name came from the famous Black Panther prison break in the 1970’s. Soledad State Prison in California
That was 1970.
She was born in 1966.
Plus, she's not really African-American. Her father was White and Australian, her mother, Black and Cuban.
But her mother came over in 1958, before Castro took over. That may help account for Soledad's skewed view of Castro, but it's a strange one for a Cuban-American to have.
