In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush makes the case that the incoming Republican administration should set the agenda by calling for a constitutional convention to establish term limits, a balanced budget amendment and restrictions on the Commerce Clause.
Bush asserts that the 2016 election was largely a protest vote over the growth and power of the central government and that Republicans have a rare chance to shift some of that power back to the states.
Bush wrote:
But heres something we shouldnt forget: This election was more about voting against something than voting for something. Americans voted against the establishment, against the countrys changing culture, against a dysfunctional Washington, against the privileged,

Oh and by the by Yeb! elections are the best way to term limit jackals like you
...
That can work for Jeb, but an evil, greatly disliked witch like Pelosi can keep getting reelected by bringing money back to her district.
I suspect you know the answer to that rhetorical question.
Actually, judge Greer is your culprit, not Jeb.
...
I agree, along with Michael Schiavo and shortcomings in law. Terri’s own brother doesn’t blame Jeb.
Great idea!
This is not a Bush idea. This is from Mark Levin.
OH!! Lookie, it’s King Babar and he’s stuck in a tree after his crown fell to the ground. LOL
The states calling it has a difference. They can put restrictions on how their delegates act that the president is unlikely to
Again Trump had much to tackle before he should do tjis
Actually the people in her district like her and not just for pork. Truth is her district would elect someone else just like her. It is a very liberal area in a very liberal state
We may not like that but it is true
If 34-35 GOP-controlled legislatures will amend away the Constitution then we are already lost. The “Law we need” then doesn’t exist and will never exist in the current national configuration (and maybe not in any configuration!).
Yep. I made calls from Wisconsin, too. What a horrible, HORRIBLE situation for her! I will never forget her and I will NEVER forgive that POS Jeb Bush! Grrrr!
If you don’t have a Living Will, get one immediately, and put your end-of-life decisions in the hands of someone you can trust to do the right thing by you.
These days, you can’t be too careful because Mother Government would love nothing more than to snuff us OUT once our tax-revenue-producing days are behind us. We’re just a bunch of Useless Feeders to her.
*SPIT*
“They can put restrictions on how their delegates act that the president is unlikely to”
Not so. Whether called by POTUS or the ghost of Eugene McCarthy, it’s still a 100% State affair. Rest assured that every state will bind their delegates to things they believe important.
And no matter what comes out of the convention, 3/4th’s of all states legislatures must vote to approve before it becomes an Amendment.
Yes the states can put restrictions on their delegates. The states that have already passed article V resolutions have put specifications on their delegates. Not all are the same
Yeb’s uniparty would strip Americans of every freedom we have if given the chance in a constitutional convention. Our constitution stands in the way of global ideology and government.
F*ck Jeb Bush, the Blaze & Elmer Gantry!
