> “Unless we reform our ruling institutions, the next eight years of Donald Trump will be just a bump in the road to grinding statism.”
Very true.
But consider that if Hillary Clinton had been elected, the Republic and its Constitution would have been finished. Article V would have been deemed a domestic terrorist banner and anyone engaged in a COS movement an enemy of the state.
Donald Trump has called for a new constitutional amendment for term limits. It is with high probability that such an amendment will never be accomplished by the US Congress because it goes against their own self-interest. It can only be done via an Article V states process.
The new President should call for supporting an Article V states process. Watch as Congress steps in to say it won’t be necessary, they’ll get on it. Then watch them slow walk such an amendment to a death and burial as the 2018 midterms loom.
The public still requires education on this part of the Constitution. Education requires marketing and promotion expense. Therein lies the immediate problem.
Levin is for all practical purposes, out.

Agree, and he might do so sooner rather than later if Mitch McConnell stands in Trump’s way.
