Liberalism is such a strong poison of the mind, it will even cause the Vatican to support the anti-christian, pro-moslem, abortionists.

I am not confused in the least, and neither are a lot of other Catholics I know who voted for Trump.

Catholics are not monolithic in their politics, but that doesn’t mean they are confused.

It was time to drain that swamp while Luther was alive. Never happened.

I find it amazing how some of the Canadian and British media give us news that slips past our very own dear MSM.

Perhaps - still so many with unorthodox views on abortion and other issues that do not seem to be compatible with the tenets/canons, etc. Throw a Francis into the mix and even more chaos ensues.

I started life as a Catholic and never heard the message and ended up a self-styled agnostic for decades until I heard the message and embraced Christ from a visit to a non-denominational church.

I believe the Catholic Church has probably harvested more souls than any other religion but some of us need to hear a more "Bible-pure" version of things to finally grasp the Good News of the Gospel. Some of us get lost in all the other stuff and just need a "Jesus loves me, this I know, because the Bible tells me so" approach.

I also grew up when Mass was in Latin and knew all the correct responses without knowing what I was responding to or what I was saying - recognized a string of sounds and responded with another.

A very sad and sorry business. All Protestants and Evangelicals—and non-believers for that matter—should pray or wish that the Catholic Church straightens this problem out, because on these matters we should all be on the same side.

I am afraid that this Pope is not just stupid, but is also evil. Millions of babies should die so he can enable his Communist global warming dreams.

I am a Catholic, and will continue to be a Catholic as long as there is a Church left standing. There have been bad times before over the past 2000 years. Some of them have ended up with horrible disasters. Let us pray that God will rid the Church of these heretics without such a disaster.

Agreed - was just saying that throwing a Francis into the mix is not one of the most unifying moves that ever occurred.

When it comes to it, we are all still flawed humans and one's religion doesn't change that as far as how we handle so many of our human concerns.

Francis is a very big concern for a lot of Catholics. Rubbing salt in the wound by talking about the antichrist/antipope does not hellp ecumenical relations.

Wasn't trying to rub salt - just making an observation.

Sorry if you interpreted it as a slam against your religion. I'd imagine that you and fellow Catholics have had numerous conversations on the same topic - it would be odd if you haven't.

God Bless.
