Jeff Sessions as attorney general is being met with alarm at the Justice Departments civil rights division and could trigger an exodus there, former officials said Friday. Longtime lawyers in the unit that enforces voting rights laws, conducts investigations into alleged police abuses and prosecutes hate crimes were already on edge about what Trumps victory would mean for their mission, but the selection of Sessions pushed those fears to another level, former officials said.

Jeff Sessions will be one of the most even-handed AGs in American history. Just wait and watch.

Good. Maybe the remainder of the Civil Rights division could focus its efforts on election fraud and vote reform to underpin a fundamental constitutional right - one man one vote.

So far, Trump’s win is turning out far better than I could have hoped.

This is a good thing. I see no downside.
We’ll get a real civil rights division that upholds the law and Constitution.

Leave their nice, cushy federal job? More likely, applying for transfer to some other division, before possible cutbacks in the civil rights division.
I could see a re-emphasis of where limited budget money should go.
