The author must be smoking some Colorado weed. Is he not aware that not a single Senate Republican voted for that mess?

There is a battle taking shape in the GOP.

There is a significant number of people, who simply want Obamacare repealed.

There is also a significant number of people, who want it FIXED. I myself fall in that camp.

I think US healthcare is a big, big topic for this administration. Our healthcare has become a very, very expensive mess. But that is just my opinion.

There are plenty of FReepers however, who seem to also fall in the camp opposing everything about Obama, including Obamacare.

I tell you just from my opinion however, this is the one issue I firmly believe Obama had the right idea on, and the GOP has been completely asleep on, for at least several decades.

GOP you did nothing. Nothing.

Obamacare was needed. It is a mess, but it was needed.

FIX it. Don’t simply end it. We do not need to return to our messed up healthcare system.

Republicans had two repeals of Obamacare that Obama refused to sign already offer that included pre-existing conditions and people to 26 being able to stay on parents insurance while in their basements.
Obama would not sign those two Republican things, but now he claims if the President elect does something with those two points in it that it means Obama has some credit? How desperate is that for Obama?

Mostly that would be those whose premiums are subsidized. But they would likely still get free emergency room treatment or Medicaid.

Most who pay their own are paying astronomical premiums and don't get any coverage until they attain astronomical deductibles.

All these have to do is compare general pre-Obamacare policy costs and coverage with post-Obamacare MANDATORY policy costs and determine which is preferable.

They should be terrified of defying the will of their voters.

Remember:

Ending ObamaCare does NOT mean we are taking away anyone's "health care."

It might mean we are taking away coverage, i.e., subsidies for certain favored people. These subsidies for favored people are paid for by overcharging non-favored people for their coverage.

And remember: coverage ≠ care

Coverage boils down to a piece of paper, or a card. It proclaims, "You are insured." But it is not health care.

the cost of healthcare is destroying our country.
people in trouble will vote to save themselves
by turning to the Democrats

what about that don’t Republicans get?

completion between interstate insurance companies
won’t fix that.
tax free medical savings accounts, won’t help people
who earn 10 bucks an hour.

doctors and hospitals raise their prices
10 percent each year,
because they can

what about that don’t Republicans get?

McConnell is a problem. We need to have enough Americans as angry at him as I am. Covention of States to repeal the 17th Amendment and let Kentucky replace him. Our Constitutional Republic got Trump into office thru the Electoral College. Our fore fathers were smarter than the generation who took away Constitutional representation of states in 1913. The socialist left wants us to go to a full on democracy so that sheer numbers in densely populated ghettos can overwhelm the the majority of our country’s liberty loving states.

Actually Democrats who face re-election in 2018 in red and purple states are the ones terrified. They have to run for reelection in 2018 without Obama coat tails to drag them across the line like he did in 2012.

They have a choice, be obstructionist to please the fringe wacko Leftist base and piss off their home state voters or they work with Trump to please home state voters and lose their fringe wacko mega donors.

Create the conditions for a market catastrophic plan with high deductibles and low premiums and let the market across the nation across state lines compete for prices over the years. Require that anyone using hospitals which receive tax funds in any way must have insurance. That is no different than requiring that anyone who drives on highways built by tax dollars must have car insurance.

Next, I’d allow monthly payments to come from EBT cards and require food purchases to be restricted from luxury food items. If you can prevent beer then you can prevent lobster and filet mignon.

Finally, for those with part-time jobs at entry level minimum wage levels, who were not on an EBT card, I’d provide full deductibility for employers offering health benefits and store owned health savings accounts usable by the employee while working for that employer but ultimately owned by the employer when that worker leaves.
