Ok, so let’s set the record straight on this whole petition thing floating around that has now received over 3 million signatures called “Electoral College: Make Hillary Clinton President on December 19”.
The argument is that Hillary won the popular vote, so we should abolish the electoral college altogether and the state electors should abandon the electoral votes for Trump, and instead vote Hillary into office. There’s just one problem, liberals…Hillary DID NOT win the popular vote. Here’s why.
First of all, she’s probably not going to win the actual number of votes cast. She may win the number of votes counted, but not the votes cast.
States don’t count their absentee ballots unless the number of outstanding absentee ballots is larger than the state margin of difference. If there is a margin of 1,000 votes counted and there are 1,300 absentee ballots outstanding, then the state tabulates those. If the number of outstanding absentee ballots wouldn’t influence the election results, then the absentee ballots aren’t counted.
Who votes by absentee ballot? Students overseas, the military, businesspeople on trips, etc. The historical breakout for absentee ballots is about 67-33% Republican. In 2000, when Al Gore “won” the popular vote nationally by 500,000 votes and the liberal media screamed bloody murder, there were 2 million absentee ballots in California alone. A 67-33 breakout of those yields a 1.33 to 0.66 million Republican vote advantage, so Bush would have gotten a 667,000-vote margin from California’s uncounted absentee ballots alone! So much for Gore’s 500,000 popular vote “victory.” (That was the headline on the N.Y. Times, and it was the lead story on NBC Nightly News, right? No? You’re kidding.)
So, the next time someone says “Hillary won the popular vote” you can give them this little election lesson, as most people have no idea that hundreds of thousands of ballots are never even counted.
Statistically, there is no way Hillary Clinton won the popular vote this year because 2/3rds of the uncounted absentee ballots would have gone against her.

Every absentee ballot is counted. Down ballot races — down ballot referendums — down ballot everything are right there and so every absentee is counted. In Every State.
There is no path of evasion for this article writer. He didn’t make any phone calls to election precincts. Nor to Secys of State. He just pounded out incorrect text.

Doesn’t matter. The Electoral College system - superior to the “popular vote” because it implements our decentralized, republican form of government - is set in place by the Constitution CANNOT be changed without a Constitutional Amendment.

Reports out today say that the Cleveland Indians are protesting the result of the World Series. Their position is that even though they knew the rules of the series going in, and that they lost 4 of 7 games, the total number of runs scored in all games were the same for both teams. Therefore Cleveland believes it is co-champion.

It is also a myth that there weren’t over 2 MILLION illegals, ineligible to legally vote, that cast Hillery ballots.
I would hope that for each faithless Trump elector voting other than Trump, there will be one noble Hillary elector voting Trump to maintain the rule of law. Perhaps I’m overoptimistic, but I imagine at least 20% of even democrats want to maintain the forms of the rule of law for when they do win. It’s not as unlikely as it seems either - even liberals have some among them who think of themselves as decent.
This is the headlines on HUffington, the multiple felon who is above the law won the popular vote therefore the electoral vote must be immediately abolished so Trump can be declared the loser and the multiple felon who is above the law can be President. They are collectively losing their minds. Now they are making up fake racist attacks as well as if someone will say “Oh Trump is causing racist attacks. He cannot be President”. Look at this, now they got the epitome of integrity Eric Holder saying it should be abolished.......
Whose estimates? Some right wing commentator who has no idea whatsoever. I estimate all those illegals voted Trump. Now what do you say.
You need something to lean on, lean on this. Hillary did a few rallies in Cali to fund raise. Trump didn’t do rallies in Texas to fund raise. There. Be reassured.
All true, not to mention the tens of thousands of illegal alien votes, or bogus votes, or criminal votes like in Virginia, or dim stuffed ballot boxes in Chicago, Detroit (even though Trump won Michigan), Los Angeles, Baltimore, and a dozen other big cities.
In short...anyone believing Hildebeast “won” the popular vote is either stupid, retarded, or has brain damage.
There will be no, or maybe 1, faithless Electors. None of this stuff is going to happen.
We need to revoke the DLs of illegals. With a valid DL, you can access almost anything. As foreign citizens without immigrant visas, they’re supposed to be using an international driver’s license (eg tourists).
Giving them DLs opens the door to voter fraud, medicaid and welfare fraud, and a million other things.
Let’s drain the swamp.
Some things I have not heard in the media, but are worth noting:
1. To say that Hillary “won the popular vote” is not exactly true. As of today, Hillary has about 47.7% of the votes counted so far. She has a plurality but not a majority of the votes cast.
2. Al Gore also got less than 50% of the popular vote, when he “won the popular vote”.
3. Campaigns would be run differently, if the popular vote was the deciding factor. California, for example, was completely ignored in the general election, because both candidates knew the state would go Democrat. Trump might have spent some time in California to chip away at the popular vote margin in California, if it would have made a difference; if the popular vote total meant anything, legally speaking, in deciding the election.
So I’m disenfranchised from voting for my counsel member and town referendum just because I vote absentee? I don’t think so.

That’s how electors are chosen. Essentially by party, and some states replace an elector who votes against his party’s candidate. In effect, the winning party’s electors enter the room and cast the vote.
The whole faithless elector stuff is silly. Over the history of the EC, over 99% of Electors have voted as their state has specified.
Cursory review of the electoral vote map, shows that Hillary only got 50 electoral votes from states in the interior of America.
The bulk of her electoral votes came from the liberal enclaves in the northeast, and Pacific coast states.
