Obama and his supporters loved talking about history. His victory was historic. They were on the right side of history. History was an inevitable arc that bent their way.
The tidal force of demographics had made the old America irrelevant. Any progressive policy agenda was now possible because we were no longer America. We Were Obamerica. A hip, happening place full of smiling gay couples, Muslim women in hijabs and transgender actors. We were all going to live in a New York City coffee house and work at Green Jobs and live in the post-national future.
The past was gone. We were falling into the gorgeous wonderful future of dot com instant deliveries and outsourced everything. We would become more tolerant and guilty. The future was Amazon and Disney. It was hot and cold running social justice. The Bill of Rights was done. Ending the First and Second Amendments was just a clever campaign away. Narratives on news sites drove everything.
Presidents were elected by Saturday Night Live skits. John Oliver, John Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Samantha Bee were our journalists. Safe spaces were everywhere and you better watch your microaggressions, buddy. No more coal would be mined. No more anything would be made. The end of men was here. The end of the dead white men of the literary canon. The end of white people. The end of binary gender and marriage. The end of reason. The end of art. The end of 2 + 2 equaling 4. This was Common Core time. It was time to pardon an endless line of drug dealers. To kill cops and praise criminals. To be forced to buy worthless health insurance for wealth redistribution to those who voted their way to wealth.
This was Obama's America. And there was no going back. We were rushing through endless goal posts of social transformation. The military fell. Then the police. Now it looks as quaint as anything from the 50s, the 70s or the 80s. A brief moment of foolishness that already appears odd and awkward. And then one day nostalgic. It wasn't the future. It's already the past. It's history.
Scalia died. Hillary Clinton was bound to win. And she would define the Supreme Court. Downticket races would give her a friendly Senate. And then perhaps the House.
But there is no right side of history. There is only the side we choose.
The Obama era was permanent. It was history. Now it is history.
Its shocking ascendancy has been paired with an equally shocking descent. The Obama era is done. It's gone. It's over. It was wiped from the pages of history in one night that left Congress and the White House in Republican hands.
It would have been bad enough if Jeb Bush had succeeded Obama. That would have been inconvenient, but not a repudiation. Instead Obama's legacy was dashed to pieces. His frantic efforts to campaign for Hillary did no good. The public did not vocally reject him. What they did was in its own way even worse. They brushed past him. They sidelined him. They gave him passable approval ratings while dismissing his biggest accomplishments. They forgot him. They made it clear that he did not matter.
And that is in its own way far more brutal and wounding. They didn't just destroy the Obama era. Instead they dismissed it as if it never existed.
Obama didn't make history after all. He wasn't a teleprompter demi-god standing athwart of history. He was Carter and Ford. He was there to be forgotten. He didn't change the world. He wasn't the messiah. He was merely mortal. Just another politician who will sag and age. Who will, in the end, be photographed like Bill Clinton, lonely and lost in a world that has passed him by.
The Obama era ends not with a bang, but with a whimper. With a national consensus that maybe he didn't really matter so much after all. And those to whom he mattered the most were his enemies determined to undo everything he did.
Obama once thought that he belonged to the ages. Now he belongs in the rubbish bin.

Being the detail-oriented, successful businessman President-Elect Donald J. Trump is, he has had a transition team im place for a while. They have been prioritizing all of the Kenyan Klown’s executive orders to determine the order in which they shall be dispensed to the dustbin of history.
It would not surprise me in the slightest if DJT gets rid of the lion’s share of Zero’s executive orders within the first month. The exploding heads from the left along with their shrieks of outrage and despair shall be gloriious.

We really need Trump to come through for us on reversing all those executive orders. He’s got to get the right cabinet people in there. If he doesn’t, and allows the Fed govt. to remain all powerful as it has been the last 8 years, this will be for naught.
I’m super excited but cautiously optimistic until we see his official team in place.

Trump needs to undo Obama’s edicts, drain the swamp (which involves getting down to the blackmail/threats/pay-to-play that has embroiled BOTH parties), get back to the Constitutional duty of establishing a budget, install people of integrity in the cabinet and agencies, re-start actual IG’s that don’t just whitewash everything, and then together with Congress establish GENUINE checks on the power of the agencies so they can never again be used to destroy political enemies. The public has to be given a way to hold the system accountable.
And the coup of 2008 needs to be exposed, so that the whole world knows we are up to facing our enemies, even when they pretend to be us. The role of the media and how they were taken captive, the role of the dems’ financial garbage that made us so vulnerable to the terrorist financial attack of Sept of 2008, the lawlessness within all the agencies that forged documents for Obama and gutted the rule of law within the US military, the Soros terrorist organizations to threaten the rule of law.... all that stuff needs to be exposed so that the people of the USA understand how we got where we did, and what a Godsend it is that we survived Obama and can be restored.
That’s presuming we make it past Jan 20, 2017. And that’s a big presumption, to be truthful. Obama holds the nuclear football and is owned by the same Islamists who own Hillary. I believe that is the reason that Russia was prepared to go to war with us if Hillary was elected. I believe Russia and China are unwilling to hand over the world to the Islamists, and that’s what ANY more time of Obama/Hillary would have meant. Unfortunately, we have another 70 (or so) days of it left, and that is enough time to do TREMENDOUS damage, if Obama is willing to either attack us himself or to provoke (provide an excuse) for the Iran he’s armed to attack us.
We live in “interesting” times.
The American people - like the GErmans after Hitler was defeated - need to see with their own eyes that the Obama/Hillary regime was on the WRONG SIDE in the war on terror. They need to hear the ISIS operatives bragging about being given arms directly from the US because “they are on our side”. They need to see for themselves the survivors of the brutal attacks by the people that Obama sided with. Read a story the other day claiming that 250 children aged 4 and under were put into an industrial dough machine and killed by the hooks, while 6 grown men were baked in the oven. It sounds sensational but the inhumanity of these people - including our ALLY who on tape ate the heart of a person he had just killed, and those engaging in satanic rituals with the remains of those killed - needs to be seen so that the idiots protesting about having their feelings hurt will realize just what was really at stake in this election. Nuremburg was necessary, and America has some serious sorting out to do.
Of course, Obama/Hillary and their owners don’t want that to happen. How desperate they are to avert that remains to be seen.

Democrats take note. Liberalism itself was rejected, not so much Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. And this is so much better for the future of America. We were force-fed the leftist soup for eight years, and regurgitated it all with one big wretch on November 8.
Capitalism wins. Socialism loses. In America. In 2016.

It is immensely gratifying thinking of the Hillary suck-ups-
---clutching degrees in "Gender Identity" and "Climate Change" --- w/ nowhere to go.
Nobody but an idiotic liberal/progressive govt spending OPM would hire these freaks.
THE TAKEAWAY Hillary and Obama are the driving forces behind the
complete and utter destruction of the Democrat Party.
I think what appalled America is that these two are completely oblivious
about their off-putting personalities coupled w/ their destructive policies.
Liberals whine about "Fascism" but they wouldn't know Fascism if they
tripped over it sipping lattes in Starbucks.
And they stupidly worship the swaggering Obama, whose lawlessness, and
contempt for the democratic process, is as close to a Fascist as we have
seen since the era of the mugging, swaggering Mussolini.

I love Daniel Greenfield. BUT today I take issue with him.
The Obama era is not over. It is alive and it is huge and it will grow and metastasize if not treated.
The teachers, the young students and the ponytailed gray heads, the media and the immigrants are a cohort ignorant of true conservatism, the work ethic, the Constitution, the virtues and the American spirit rooted in the Judeo/Christian Western Canon.
We have to bring that back again and make America good again or suffer Obama again in different clothes.
Evil never withers away Daniel.

New tag line.
