So, theres a poll out from Investors Business Daily/TIPP that shows Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in a statistical tie. Interestingly, however, thats not the biggest news from the poll. As the title suggest, its the religious breakdown of the poll that should be raising eyebrows.
Christians overall support Donald Trump a whole lot more than Hillary Clinton. Catholics prefer him by twenty points (54-34). Protestants, meanwhile, like him a wee bit more (56-34).

WE WILL WIN!
Maybe that internal memo about a Catholic Spring and us realizing that the US was the best hope for Catholicism because our pope is, unfortunately, a bit of a communist, is what is driving the high numbers.
I think they understand the game.
Isn’t Red State banned here?
Not under bloggers!
Pray without ceasing that God will show us mercy and work this miracle before our eyes, to enable our nation to repent of its wicked ways and seek His face, to give grace and humility to Donald Trump and Mike Pence so that they are enabled to become our next President and Vice President, that our nation may prosper and be delivered from judgement, that we may be a blessing to all of our citizens as well as all of our neighbors in the world.
We have to poll illegals also because our pos at white hut is encouraging illegals to vote without any consequences. And many states dont check id.
I agree. Landslide.
The GOPe has no idea how much they will lose if Trump loses. They will be fighting a real third party in 2018.
Can’t stand the NeverTrump RedState idiots.
I’ve been saying all 4 mysteries of the Rosary daily, The Divine Mercy Novena, the St. Michael prayer, the St. Gertrude prayer and just having running prayers with Jesus. I don’t pretend to know God’s Will but I’m sure hoping we’re on the same page.
Two weeks ago in Mass I swear I heard a voice saying “Salvation has come to America.” It was during the Gospel reading of the tax collector Zacchaeus, “...Today salvation has come to this house....” It just seemed clear as a bell. It isn’t something that has happened to me before and I didn’t tell anyone but my husband for a week and then I told a few of my friends and now I’m telling you.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here you go. 2012:
Protestant (29% of voters) Romney won 62-37
Catholic (25% of voters) Obama won 50-48
Deplorable Catholics

...uhmm...file that in the “unexpected “ file...wow!
I pray you are right.
Our priest said that this election was a spiritual battle playing out on earth. Vote carefully and prayerfully.
This is what did it for some of the Catholics I’ve been working on.
Given the general rate of obedience to the Holy Father, this should work in the Donald’s favor. Count me as a Catholic Trump vote!
I wish I saw your question before I answered the previous question. After some more digging I found the following:
In 2012 the Catholic vote made up 25% of voters.
Obama won Catholics 50-48.
White Catholics made up 18% of voters.
Romney won White Catholics 59-40.
Obama won non-white religious voters (28% of voters) 80-18
Fortunately, Pope Francis emotes in Jesuit-speak, which is intentionally vague so as to avoid culpability. Most people won’t even make the connection between the Pope’s words and the election.
‘Let’s not build walls’ doesn’t seem vague to me.
