The three-term senator, who is on the ballot next month, first disclosed his intention to vote for the Republican ticket during an interview with conservative talk show host Neal Larson last Friday. Though Crapo said he wanted a “different choice” for his party’s nominee, “that’s not what we’re going to get,” the senator acknowledged.
Crapo wasn’t the only senator to reverse his decision to un-endorse Trump. Republican Sens. John Thune of South Dakota and Deb Fischer of Nebraska similarly waffled days after they revoked their support for the Republican nominee.
