As I pointed out in an essay published earlier this year-before we knew who the parties would nominate-the defining characteristic of Hillary Clinton is her tenacity. Leaving aside her arguably criminal behavior in office, she has virtually nothing to recommend her as a politician, despite the fact that her lifelong goal-at least since reaching adulthood-has been the acquisition, retention, and exercise of political power.
She is the modern-day incarnation of Richard Nixon, stripped of any charisma or popular appeal. However, she has managed to surmount these inherent limitations to the point where she is on the threshold of accomplishing her sole mission in life. Namely, becoming the next President of the United States.
Donald Trump’s closing remarks were effective because they were grounded in an ineluctable truth, i.e. Hillary Clinton does not quit. Regardless of how unfavorably the public might perceive her, or what humiliation she has to endure in order to achieve her goal, she refuses to abandon her quest. While some, including those who view power-seeking and the arbitrary exercise of authority over other individuals, might consider this a repellent quality in a human being, it’s her quintessential feature as a public figure...

At the next debate & at every opportunity, Trump should meet every answer from lying Hillary with, “Is that your public position or private position?”
I hope by November 8th that the country wakes up to realize what a disaster Hillary would be. Keep hope alive !

Good point; I hadn't thought of that. I would make one minor change though, since people may no know where the line comes from. At the next debate & at every opportunity, Trump should meet every answer from lying Hillary with:
“You said in private Wall Street speeches that you have a private position and a public position on each issue. You just gave your poll-tested public position. I trust the voters to dig into your past to find your real private position, which the evidence will show does not protect American jobs, nor does it protect the safety of Americans either here or abroad.”
Great point - get this message to Trump & his team if you can.
I’d also add that Trump should also say he made a recent conversion to Christ (according to Dr. Dobson) and he is not the same person (2 Corinthians 5:17) he was 11 years ago.
I believe this would help a lot of Evangelical voters get off the fence and get out and vote for him.
I love the “if looks could kill” expression. Having spent her entire life around sycophant toadies, she’s clearly not used to people standing up to her. Trump’s stance knocked her off her game.
Trump on the other hand, has had to deal with egotistical SOBs like her his entire life. Her barbs rolled off him like water on a duck’s back.
