It's good to see him sticking it out. He has a tough role to play here -- between a Trump campaign that is built on courting independents and politically disconnected voters, and the GOP establishment that is lined up against them.
When I look at this campaign, the closest parallel example I can think of would be the Jesse Ventura race for the governor's office back in 1998. It's probably not a coincidence that his victory came as a result of popular disgust at the two major parties -- at the height of Bill Clinton's impeachment proceedings.
Exactly...Unfortunately one of my Senators (Ayotte) was on the list and I informed her yesterday (before the debate) that she would not be getting my vote in Nov.
Color me shocked that Pence seems to be so far removed from the center of the TRUMP campaign and what is going on, that he would get himself quoted laying down such a forceful statement on what he thinks the US reaction to Russian provocations needs to be, but then issue only one statement after the Clinton/media assault of TRUMP on Friday, saying that he was praying for TRUMP.
Please, what is that all about it?
Not sure that I am even complaining, since this is major league politics and Pence is still a governor after all, and whatever happens he wants a future, but Pence at the moment seems *barely there*.
On international perils for our country Pence is heard vociferously, but on defending the only man who can assure us of any real efforts on national security, he retires to his prayer closet.
Pence and the TRUMP Campaign need to start communicating.
After all, this is hand to hand combat and Pence needs to find his brass knuckles, as well as his prayers.

The jerks think themselves wise and that we would follow their lead. We showed them! Like Newt said, they have egg all over their face!
Would have been even better if Trump had said, “Honest Abe never lied...you are no Abe Lincoln.”
Just have to wait and see, I guess. Been fooled and played by "my people" so many times since Reagan left office that I don't trust any of them these days.
