Debate: Media in desperate frenzy to sell the idea of 'Hillary's big win'
Canada Free Press ^ | 09/27/16 | Robert Laurie

Pssst! It didn't happen.

If you’ve tuned into any of the big news outlets this morning, you’ve no doubt heard some talking head yakking about “Hillary’s big win.” If all you heard were the mainstream reviews, you’d think Clinton crushed her opponent in one of debate history’s most epic beat downs. They’ve basically gone wall-to-wall with tales of their queen’s decisive victory over an unprepared dullard.

The thing is; if she really did that well, they wouldn’t need to be work so hard to sell you on it.

And that’s is how it came across

I agree. There are a lot of people in the middle and on the left that really, REALLY hate Clinton, but feel they MUST vote for her to stop Duke Nukem from wrecking our country with his crazyness. But last night that fire was put out.

I think there are two ways this goes:

1. They are no longer afraid of Trump, but they would NEVER vote for an R, no matter what. These people were going to vote for Hillary. Now they will either just not vote, or they’ll vote third party.

2. They liked him in a lot of ways before but were afraid of him and are willing to vote for an R. They’ll either vote for trump or just not vote.

Trump gave the people that hate Hillary an excuse to not vote for her.

“Hilary was calm and he, like the man he is, interrupted her. Not me saying this, just family and friends.”

I knew there had to be some explanation for your dour mood last night, and there it is. You’re surrounded by Democrats.

The debate began with Lester Holt proclaiming how great the economy had been. I knew from the first sentence that the debate was rigged. I would also like to see how much time both candidates had. It seems to me Hellery had much more air time.

True, people call him a mean bully and have never even seen him. He looked more personable than smug, condescending Hillary.

Roger was referring to the question on cyber security.

“Roger was referring to the question on cyber security.”

So how did he miss what’s rest of us heard?

I didn’t hear him reference her emails in his answer on cyber security. I just went and looked at the transcript and it’s not there.

True, he didn't comment on the emails themselves, but he slammed her pretty hard on maintaining her secret, illegal server, which is part and parcel of the same issue.

It's not over for her. The email server issue is going to continue coming up until election day, either during the debates, or in Trump campaign commercials. He's not going to let her get away with it.

The problem was deliberately keeping classified information in an insecure manner that could very easily have been compromised, and was. The problem was further compounded by deleting these documents illegally.

To keep calling it email makes it sound far too trivial.

Of course, which is why the Dems and Clinton AND the media continue to refer to the issue that way.

"Wassamatta wit having a private email account??????"

Intentionally flouting all cybersecurity measures in order to circumvent the law regarding classified documents. Destroying classified documents in order to avoid subpoena.

Couch it in those terms and it comes back to bite Ms. Cybersecurity. I can’t believe she went on about it as she did, knowing that she’d done what she’s done.

I also hope next time the Clinton foundation scandals are brought up too, by Trump if no one else. I think a good opportunity would have been when Hillary accused him of not paying taxes. At least he didn’t make his money off a so called charity with non-profit status that doesn’t pay taxes and spent over 90% of their money on administrative (Clinton and friends) “expenses”.

At the time I didn’t clue into that...but the more I think about it. Either she is really really good at debating, or yes, had the answers scripted.

LOL. Yes. Also I think I was basing Trump’s performance on my expectations. I was hoping he was going to really lay into her on Benghazi and the emails.

“I think I was basing Trump’s performance on my expectations.”

I hear you. My expectations were governed by what I observed of Trump during the primary debates and his rally appearances. Trump is Trump, and that is what you get.

For reasons political analysts and social psychologists will debate for years to come, the American people simply trust and believe in the man.

I hear what you’re saying. Trump missed the opportunity to take a lot of wide open shots, but he also nailed the target several times, as well.

Overall, I think he accomplished the goal of the night, which was to appear presidential. It’s something I think he’ll grow into in many ways after inauguration day.
