Let's hear it from people who can't take the Clinton/Trump debate any more. I turned it off after 26 minutes.
I did not watch the debate. I refuse to watch or hear Hitlery spew her lies. My wife lasted maybe 30 minutes.
That, and I can't stand the "Starbuck" chick.
Does it get any better after the first episode? Or is there "Glock cocking"? Dear Lord, there is not a worse movie/TV atrocity that a hammer cocking sound being played when the actor points a striker-fired pistol.
I couldn’t even make it 30 minutes! Insanity.
You know, I felt that way with Obama in 2012, no way the people will re-elect him. His foreign policy, all his screw ups, the economy got worse, more debt under him, his divisiveness with races, etc. His own people thought he would lose, got a smaller venue for the results night. Lo and behold, the people voted him back in for 4 more years of hell.
People are too stupid to think about the stakes and future of this country. They will vote for the best debater, like when Obama mopped the floor with Romney over the Candy Crawley got ya moment. That is what matters to the stupid voters.
I fear that is plausibly an entirely self-reinforcing result.
Trump is not an especially articulate speaker, he’s only a little bit above your NY “dese and dose”, though I do not mind that in particular.
But I think he created a lackluster impression by reverting to and repeating lines he has said many times before. In other words, he won no votes tonight, IMO. And...I do not think this impression of “no prep” is mine alone and it reinforces the “arrogant bully” accusation against him. I think he gave up a prime opportunity because most, possibly not all of her zingers were utterly predictable and could have been fended off, or even better, countered to the point of undermining her, had very very careful preparation been done. I saw no sign of it.
In contrast, I think HRC gained or gained back or solidified votes. All of those.
That’s it. She said the “Supreme Court got it wrong” on the 2nd Amendment. She believes it confers (not protects, confers) a COLLECTIVE right to bear arms, meaning the National Guard has guns to kill off the bourgeois like me who won’t get with the Marxist program.
I must’ve missed that comment
He should have known this and been prepared to take it on..They caught him flat footed and Ill prepared to deal with it....He stated himself it would be rigged...
She didn’t say it tonight. She said it at one of her rallies.
I’m trying not to binge watch it this season. I’m also looking forward to the Luke Cage series that’s will be starting on Friday.
Agreed so why, by all that is Holy, for God’s sake, did Trump agree with her???
“My God, hes walking into it. Hes playing defense, and that is not what he needs to do.”
I agreed. She won on points. He wasn’t good.
Double agree.
I was our High School debate champion back in 1966, one thing I learned real quick, is people don’t care about facts or statistics and they don’t remember them.
You always let the opposition ramble on about THEIR accomplishments or THEIR facts and statistics.
They will always give you an opening to skewer them with a one liner.
People are sheep, and stupid, they will not remember the facts or body of the debate, ONLY THE ONE LINERS.
Hillary gave TRUMP at least 2 on every subject, he didn’t take advantage of any of them.
My advice to Mr. Trump is; Donald stop mugging, stop talking about yourself, stop talking about YOUR business.
Start listening to what your opponent says; listen for the openings, when you identify them, go for the kill with a one liner.
You will always get an opportunity to expand on your OPINIONS later in the debate.
The object of a debate is to verbally DESTROY your opposition, you can hit the fine , technical points later.
OMG! I left my husband and daughter to watch the rest of that debate after Cankles said “Trickle down”.
Hillary should never speak of “trickle down” because the first thing I thought was Bill Clinton. Makes you wonder what has been trickling down his leg...
Oh, trust me it was bad.
So many missed opportunities for Mr. Trump.
He doesn’t know how to debate, and it showed.
I listened to it on the radio, and tried to hear it from the point of view of a low info / undecided voter.
Trump was woefully unprepared, allowed Hillary to goad him; he walked into almost every trap, seemed defensive and temperamental.
He blathered, was all over the place, dropped one subject and started up another-—stream of consciousness, free form.
Most voters are NOT news junkies like FReepers are, and I could see how many undecideds would have had a hard time following what he was trying to say, or the references he touched on only briefly.
Many of those voters would be left scratching their heads, thinking he’s a nut, concluding “well, gosh, maybe Hillary does know more stuff, and anyway, she’ll give me $15 hour for flipping burgers.”
He needs to better prepare for the next one.
Illegal immigration/ border security / illegals getting welfare and illegals voting -—he needs to be on message and cream her on these things. These are Hillary’s and the Democrats’ weak spots.
He can’t just keep saying “it’s a disaster.” He needs to back it up with facts, figures, economic impact, specific stories of lives impacted, tales told by border agents -—because Hillary will certainly have specifics, not just adjectives, to buttress her side, count on it.
I watched the whole thing and it was PAINFUL!!!
Hilda is such a lying bitch.
FU, you testosterone poser. Run off into the dark and die like the f-yard that you are you ball-less wonder
I enjoyed it. Trump slapped that silly fake smile off her head.
