Even without the coughheardroundtheworld
With apologies to George Ramos, this year the first presidential debate is the Big Enchilada. Independent voters will finally be tuning in to see both candidates bocayboca. This cumulative first impression will probably decide the election.
And what will Independents be concerned about? Many are participating in betting pools based on the exact time Hillary will cough, with overunders on duration and intensity.
Not since Ronald Reagans second debate with Walter Mondale has candidate health been a primary topic. That was in 1984 and health was a byproduct of the first debate after Reagan appeared to be a quart low on formaldehyde. His answers were sometimes confused and the Gipper looked old.
Early voting. Many people vote before Election Day.
“Why the First Presidential Debate May Decide the Election”
Not only is it hypocritical, but based on 2012, this conclusion is just WRONG.
Of course, if she falls over, or has a coughing fit, then it WILL be over...but that’s not what this article means.
It will be well pasted Hillary’s bed time (9pm). She’ll be tired.
She will have been prepping for all eventualities. She will have over-prepared, not wanting to waste any opportunity during this first debate. She’ll be tired.
This is not like the DC Bar Exam she prepped for, when she was much, much younger and healthier. She failed that. She won’t want to repeat that failure. She will be quite anxious. She knows she’s compromised. Her anxiety will takes it toll.
She will be struggling to stand for 1.5 hours, even if she’s been horizontal all day, resting like some diva for the evening’s sing. She’ll tire quickly.
Her immune system will be severely challenged both by drugs and the increased physical effort of this day. She’ll be sick and tired.
[Odds of her not have a coughing fit?]
It’ll take a major screw-up on the part of one of the two candidates to make this the deciding factor in the election. I just don’t see that happening.
I think that if Trump manages to comes across tonight as a sufficiently sensible and non-scary choice for POTUS, he’ll be firmly in the driver’s seat for the rest of this election season.
Debate prep at team Hillary
Wait til Sickery loses control of those crazy eyes. You just know its going to happen. :-)
