Any complaints are stupid considering that a bomb went off in NYC. The bottom line is that Trump was right.
Your point is a good one, though, Trump doesn’t just ‘live’ in NYC. He is extremely connected in NYC. The Fraternal Order of Police just endorsed him. He probably has forgotten more about NYC than the campaign media has ever known.

Hate to be a pedantic nitpicker, but “reactionary” is a poor word choice here. It means “extreme rightism or conservatism an politics” (which, unfortunately or not, does not describe Trump). It originally referred to those who reacted against the ‘gains’ of the French Revolution. What. What you meant was “too quick to react without sufficient information” or, as you say later, someone who jumped the gun.

This is not surprising. During 9/11 Howard Stern had more and better information than the major media outlets. The reason for this was that he had people out on the street as a part of his usual stchick phoning in to him.
The coverage was so good that Stern dropped his format that day and went straight news. The parent organisation of Stern’s station (i think it was CBS) carried Stern beyond his slotted time.
