The groups present detailed suggestions for tackling systemic racism.
A collective of over 50 black activist organizations released a detailed policy platform on Monday outlining a plan to advance black liberation that includes education reform, reparations and abolition of the death penalty.
A Vision For Black Lives: Policy Demands For Black Power, Freedom, and Justice has 40 policy priorities, six platform demands and a set of key solutions all aiming to end the war on black people. Spearheading the initiative is The Movement for Black Lives, a combination of grass-roots organizations advocating for black rights.
A Vision for Black Lives follows in the footsteps of Campaign Zero, a separate platform released last year that focuses on police violence, though policing is not its only concern. It also takes the proposed reforms a step further than the racial and criminal justice sections of the 2016 Democratic platform, by offering more detailed suggestions for tackling systemic racism based on discussions with black activists and community members.
Our grievances and solutions extend beyond the police killing of our people; state violence includes failing schools that criminalize our children, dwindling earning opportunities, wars on our trans and queer family that deny them of their humanity, and so much more, Montague Simmons of the Organization for Black Struggle and the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) Policy Table said in a statement. Thats why we united, with a renewed energy and purpose, to put forth a shared vision of the world we want to live in.(continued)

How about No.
The groups present detailed suggestions for tackling systemic racismShamelessly perpetuating Obamas lie.
Noted, and completely rejected.
Abolition of the death penalty will do nothing to lower the number of black people killed.
94% of black deaths murdered by other blacks. 3% of the population responsible for 75% of violent assaults and murder.
It is the black folks fault they are in the shape they are in.
They will never change because they cannot face that reality.
They expect everyone else to solve their own problems. They refuse to take ownership and responsibility for their own problems.
I’ll toss in a dirty, sticky quarter I found in my car cup holder, towards reparations :)
We have been fighting “racism” with liberal policies for a good 60 years. If these groups believe that it is still a major problem, maybe it is time for a radical new approach. There are plenty of countries that could be purchased for a trillion or two and we could give these geniuses one way tickets; they could form their non-racist utopia in one of these tropical paradises. We could even let Obama or Hillary lead them to glory.
The black folks that I know do not think that way. These kArAYzE people seem to be off their meds . . . . they want SPECIAL rights, just for themselves !! Unconstitutional !
Just my .02 cents.
Snoot
From ‘Khan’ to Chaka Khan!
We already did that. It’s called Liberia.
There is no “war on black people” at all, but about 30% of black adult males are in a criminal war on all people, particularly fellow blacks.
Black democrats pushing reparations for what Democrats and not America did, ie slavery.
Any court siding with this propaganda travesty needs to be ignored
Well I should say, to the extent one can talk about a “war on black people” it is one conducted by a violent depraved minority of blacks, murderously carried out against fellow blacks, for the most part.
35 + years of working an extra day a week so your momma could sit on her a$$ and eat the finest steaks, live rent free, not have to work, and get free healthcare while you went out sold drugs and became a gang member with no goals in life. Not just no but hell no, I think I’ve already paid way more than my fair share for someone who never lived under slavery. Besides I never owned any slaves so you’re barking up the wrong tree foo’s.
What a bunch of racist POS.
When the Brits opened up America, I read that two thirds of the manpower were largely Irish slaves, enough to rival the blacks brought in. Where are their reparations?
Where is their special movement that red head lives matter?
That's just the same way that you speak of a contribution to the site...
I'll toss in another $5
Very condescening
This is what Barack Obama was installed to do. He was sent on a mission of enflaming Black violence and hate, of inviting and opening the floodgates of Islamic mayhem. This is the Marxist way. He is a Marxist, just as Hillary is. He’s obeying the dictates of Jeremiah Wright, his mentor for at least 20 years - his entire adult life before he became president. Before that he had the Black Marxist Frank Marshall Davis instilling him with hate for whites.
Back in the 1970s, Islamic jihad planners at first went after the stupidest of the Blacks in U.S. prisons and neighborhoods and convinced them to become Muslims. The trend continued. These Blacks still seem clueless about the fact that Muslims were and still are shameless, cruel slave traders in Africa.
Anyone who voted for this hate monger, Obama, or the female version, Hillary Clinton, will have a lot of explaining to do when they reach the pearly gates.
I knew when all these black producers, directors, and writers stated producing shows like Roots and The Underground it would end up being about reparations and told my wife and she said, “no they’re just shows for entertaintainment”, and I told her you wait and see because I know how these guys think. They use entertainment to draw you in and then psychologically manipulate your emotions. Sure enough now they’re starting up their reparations BS. I imagine you can hear the chorus of “I’m gonna get paid” all through the hood and talk of what color, make, and model of the new cars they’re going to drive.
Yet another pet project of the Democrat Party.
I know a lot of good, hardworking, and respectable black people too. My comments are not aimed at them but the gibsmedats who no one likes and for good reason.
Remember the story a few weeks ago about the workers who got together and wrote a demand for their own dresscode because a vet (who had been injured in battle) was wearing ‘different’ shoes than dress code? The boss called them in the next day to a meeting. They were all excited their ‘demands’ would be met, because they wrote it out exactly as they learned in college. The meeting was brief; the boss fired them on the spot.
That’s how I feel about any BLM ‘demands.’
