In this case, it was still fresh, and "The Russians did it to help Trump". Really? Not saying I'm a hacking genius, but I know enough that the dump was not the work of a government. This was from people in the hacking community that get their jollies on stuff like this. The Russian government may well have hacked as well. But the dump itself did not come from the Russian government. Take it to the bank.
