Hillary Clinton goes into convulsions during interview, then appears to try to play it off as a joke afterward. It is possible she has some sort of illness, or thinks it is funny to mock people with seizures.

She’s reacting (or tries to imply) that the drink she just took was either very strong or very cold. This might have been a seizure or it might have been the uncontrolled reaction when you slip something that’s colder than your throat was prepared for.

Always be very careful about Clinton rope-a-dopes where we think we have something damning only to find out it was a trap and it is used as evidence of the “vast Right Wing Conspiracy” she likes to pretend exists.

During my 25 years as a fire fighter responding to medical calls I have seen people having involuntary muscle spasms that looked similar to this and a few actually made light of their problem in almost the exact way that Hillary did. As you say, a person having a true grand mal seizure would go through a period of time when they would not be able to act rationally. The people I saw were typically people with a history of either a head injury, a history of strokes, CVA (cardiovascular accidents), multiple sclerosis, or this was part of their delirium tremens from coming off of alcohol or drugs. They were almost all being treated with psychotropic drugs, seizure medications, MS medications or other meds. If this was the first time it had happened and they were not already being treated we would insist that they be transported, because it definitely indicates some type of cerebral problem. She is suffering from a problem that she has not disclosed. Only she and her doctors know how serious probably is, but it could be very serious.

No one is more sickened by the Clintons than I am. Hillary has a serious problem; she is no doubt being treated for it. Her doctors have most likely had to adjust her medications multiple times during the campaign because of other side effects that people were starting to notice. If it were anyone else I would feel very sorry for them. Hillary is getting what she deserves.

Should a person with epilepsy become President? I can see both sides of that question. Hillary Clinton should NEVER be President, but just wondering whether someone with a clear case of epilepsy should be allowed as C in C.

If a Potential president has myoclonic epilepsy, they need to clarify it and have many medical professionals discuss it with the American people and come to terms with any kinds of situations where it might impede her important duties. We can’t choose well if we don’t know the truth.

My Wife (neurologist) recognized it immediately. It was an Absence Seizure with adult onset.

She stated the same as you. There is something seriously wrong with her.

With this type of seizure she shows her residents and interesting technique during clinical diagnosis. She has the patient say the alphabet. The patient will say ABCD and then pause for 8 to 20 seconds. There may also be an action component such as head bobbing and then continue with more of the alphabet followed by more pauses.

This is not an act by Hillary. This is a cover up by her staff and the media.

It's not clear to me from the Wiki article what the prognosis is, i.e., is it a fairly minor condition or can the patient deteriorate, have more frequent and longer seizures etc.?? Wiki refers to possibly 50-100 such seizures per day, that seems to me a gigantic potential issue for a US President! I don't think Hillary could be having very many or very often yet, or else it would be impossible to keep it quiet. Is she likely to deteriorate or is it usually stable with treatment?

Episodes of absence seizures can often be mistaken for inattentiveness when misdiagnosed, and can occur 50-100 times a day. They can be so difficult to detect that some people may go months or years before given a proper diagnosis. There are no known before or after effects of absence seizures

Thank you, I knew there was a medical term for this. There could be a number of explanations for the problem many of them which most people would consider disqualifying for a person running to be president.

We had an alcoholic living in our community who was constantly having seizure like activity. He ran up ambulance transportation and emergency room bills that came up to well over a million dollars. He often had seizure activity that looked like the one Hillary had in the video. One of the ambulance crews who responded to him said that they could tell he was faking it because he didn't wet his pants. After that every time we showed up to check him out he had wet his pants and he smelled even worse than he had previously. ; )

If you see the whole video, she immediately asks those around her ‘have you tried the chi-latte’ (or something like that, whatever the hell that is). Where do you suppose that came from? Was she asked a serious question, so she retorts with an absurd question out of the blue?

She was, in effect, asked "Have you tried that highly-stimulating, caffinated drink?"

So she responds in a joking fashion, by exaggeratedly imitating the effects of such hot caffinated drinks.
