Is the United States on the verge of a race war? You might think so if you saw the New York Posts Civil War front page the morning after the killing of five Dallas police officers. Or if you watched the YouTube clip of Baton Rouge shooter Gavin Long declaring, Its a time for peace, but its a time for war, and most of the times when you want peace, you got to go to war. Or read the tweet from former congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill.), warning This is war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you. Or if you watched former New York mayor Rudy Giulianis speech at the Republican National Convention: The vast majority of Americans today do not feel safe. They fear for their children. They fear for themselves. They fear for our police officers, who are being targeted, with a target on their back.
Its easy to understand why, according to new polling, Americans say race relations are getting worse. But despite real fears and frustrations, and those who are trying to capitalize on those fears and frustrations, the United States is unlikely to return to the widespread, violent civil disorder of the 1960s. Improvements in policing and community relations, along with the fragmentation of extremist groups, provide a bulwark against anything approximating a race war....

I would hope so, but you never know. The claims are that both candidates are so hated the people would welcome a third Obama term. Of course the only people that will count are those in favor of it.
This is one of those things you don’t want to hear from a newspaper that’s wrong about pretty much everything.
It’s like a Dick Morris prediction, in reverse.
The problem is that black people are going to continue to experience a clash between their expectations and reality, and they will blame their inability to succeed (which I believe is a fact that cannot really be remedied) on white racism. As the last vestiges of formal racism fall away, and blacks still fail, their anger will increase, it will not decrease, and this will occur, in part, because there is a whole political industry that benefits from angry black people.
Since obama would clearly be to blame, the kneepad media is doing what they can to deflect responsibility.
Lies, half-truths, innuendos...whatever it takes.
The 12% side really does not want a race war.
Millions of deer hunters out there who are excellent shots.
They don’t hold their guns sideways.
We are already in a race war.
Shall we count the dead?
The race war began decades ago...slowed down...then accelerated to "full steam ahead" during the past 7.6 years.
Those two sides live into different environments. The black separatists wont go out to the country and the country does not want to go into the urban area where typically 75 percent of all casualties occur.
The whites who stay in the urban are will be quickly and thoroughly purged.
Too many blacks have too much to lose in a race war.
Maybe so, but there are hundreds of thousands of foot soldiers who just don’t care anymore and getting bolder by the day.
They are also absolutely convinced that whites don’t have the stones to fight back.
If there isn’t a race war; it is NOT for lack of trying to
incite one by BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.
The washington post ought to look in the mirror.
the media deliberately inflame by only reporting black people shot by police when whites are shot twice as often.

WaPo is blind. If a shooting war led by the President, targeting civilian police forces is not civil war, then, what kind of war is it?
How can we be headed for a race war...
WHEN WE ARE ALREADY IN ONE?
“If a race war comes just about anybody could become a victim.”
I know that there will be no race war. I was speculating that IF there would be a race war then, I, for one, would be looking for the MSM ‘reporters’ for starting/enabling it.
