Boing
I’m thinking “Trial by Fire” has a nice ring to it.
Cersei never thinks through the 2nd and 3rd order effects of any of her schemes. She’s kind of like Wile E. Coyote, where she’s not nearly as smart as she thinks she is.
;-)
I guess it’s obvious at this point. Jon Snow and The Dragon Queen will marry and unite the kingdoms so everyone lives happily ever after... or something like that.
Cercei will live till the very last episode then be killed. Her brother may live since they seem to be showing him as a reasonable person even he is incestuous. Then again; isn’t Jon Snow the son of a brother and sister? During the dream into the past the dying mom to the newborn Jon Snow called Ned Stark brother. Is he the father too?
“Olenna be given special permission to end Cerseis suffering...”
She’s going to be too late, the woods witch’s prophecy said that Cersei would be strangled by the “valonquar” or little sibling, so the most likely candidates to kill her are Jaime or Tyrion (I’m thinking Tyrion because it’s hard to strangle someone with only one hand).
No, Jon Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. That’s why there were two members of the Kingsguard wearing Targaryen insignia guarding the Tower of Joy.
“Why was Ned Stark killed?”
Because Littlefinger thought if he offed Ned he could get another chance with Cat.
It was Littlefinger that convinced Joffrey to order it. Joffrey was just a cat’s paw.
lol
“And how did Ned learn of Robert’s Bastard’s?”
He learned of them because Littlefinger nudged him in that direction the second he got to King’s Landing.
As for your implication, Jon Snow gets the dark hair from his dark haired mother, Lyanna. Jon Snow can’t be Robert’s kid, because Robert and Lyanna never bumped uglies.
“Think it through, Lyanna and Robert could have coupled before the abduction.”
They didn’t, but even if we assume they could have, the war lasted over a year, and the abduction was right at the beginning of the war. So there is no way any progeny of a coupling before the war would be a newborn baby at the end of the war. Never heard of a 12 month pregnancy even in Westeros.
Books or TV series? Remember they split storylines.
“Also puts a different spin on Tywin always saying to Tyrion that he was not HIS son. Maybe the problem between Tyrion and his father was not about his being a dwarf at all; but, Tywin was actually speaking the truth -— he is not his son.”
Yes, and some of Tywin’s dialogue really does point to that as something Tywin suspected. For example, he says at one point something like “I have to suffer you prancing around with the sigil of House Lannister because I can’t PROVE YOU’RE NOT MY SON”.
Now that harks back to the laws of legitimacy, which say that any children born to a married woman are assumed to be trueborn sons of the father, because there is no way to prove they are not his son. He’s practically saying that he knows Tyrion is a bastard but he can’t legally prove anything so he was forced to treat him as a son.
Tyrion thought the whole attitude was just because he was a dwarf, but Tywin always denied he cared about that when it came up, his grievance was always that he didn’t think Tyrion was his son.
Nobody ever said how far those tunnels under King’s Landing go....
I think your right
“Catelyn had received a Raven from her nutty sister Lysa Aryn saying that Robert Aryn had been killed by the Lannisters”
A letter Littlefinger told her to wrote... he is the one who set everything in motion.
“I believe this now kills every king in the war of the five kings, plus a lot of their heirs (Shireen, Tomen, etc).”
Yes, it now becomes the war of five queens (Dorne, Highgarden, Cersei, Dany, Yara/Asha, - and maybe number 6 is Sansa) and two kings (Euron, Jon Snow).
Oh, you’re right!
There were plenty of Targaryens with dark hair. Rhaenys, Baelor Breakspear, Daeron II, Steffon Baratheon, and even Aegon the Unlikely had a black streak in his hair.
