Illegal immigrants in the US often get better care than the nation's military veterans, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has said.
"We're not going to allow that to happen any longer," he told a bikers' rally in Washington DC.
Mr Trump did not provide any evidence for his assertion.
Last year, the billionaire sparked anger by attacking the military record of Senator John McCain, a former prisoner of war.
Mr Trump said Sen McCain was only considered a hero because he was a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
He then added: "I like people who weren't captured."
Since then Mr Trump, who never served in the military, has tried to repair the damage by frequently honouring veterans at his rallies and holding fundraising events for them....

He’s right. An illegal can walk up to the emergency room of the best hospital in town and they must treat them. Cancer, dialysis...whatever. The citizen or vet must have insurance, medicare,secondary etc. And then their choice of hospitals and doctors are limited.

And the BBC said Trump didn’t provide any evidence of his assertion! They take in migrants at hospitals and give them free care but troops might wait montus for necessary medical care. Just look at the VA statistics. The head of the VA said they don’t even bother to measure wait times. I guarantee if this was a liberal candidate and a liberal issue, the BBC would have provided proof and analysis for him.

Just had to get in the digs. Of course, they're treated better. They always have been. Our military doesn't automatically get free housing, free welfare, free phones, or free rides to the voting booth. They certainly don't get the medical care illegals do. Illegals aren't put on the VA's wait list. But the BBC is fully aware of all that. Dig, dig, dig.
