There have been close calls in the past. One example is the theory that a volcano, Toba, erupted and damaged the atmosphere, causing a protracted “volcano winter” and reducing the earth down to 10,000 human breeding pairs.
And here we are, just 75,000+ years later, with over 7 billion humans on the planet.

Short of reliquifying the lithosphere or creating hostile AI humans aren’t going extinct anytime soon. We’re actually pretty resilient as a population.
The human race will be wiped out by the scourge of diabetes which is the gateway to E.D. cancer, stroke, heart failure and other goodies.

So, on average, 55,000 Americans die in a human-extinction event each year? Happened to a bunch of folks I know just last year.
I thought Obonzo and ObamaCare had all of this handled.
