If they truly believe beating Hillary Clinton is the real goal for Republicans, Ted Cruz and John Kasich have to suspend their campaigns and go home. The voters have spoken and rejected them.
For months many honest-and some not so honest-people backed the candidacy of Texas Senator Ted Cruz in the Republican primaries. They stood by Cruz as the façade of his impeccable conservative credentials crumbled when even mildly questioned. They were with him when he acted in a very un-conservative manner in Iowa. They defended him as he built his campaign war chest with shady arrangements with Citi Bank.
They explained away his trip to New York City to gather donations from wealthy homosexuals who support Gay marriage while courting Evangelical Christians and rejecting same sex unions. All the while Cruz kept losing and falling further behind Donald Trump.
Nevertheless, these things could have been overcome had he not gone full lawyer on us by accepting his faux victory in Colorado then doubling down on it by bragging about his prowess as a political player. He might also have survived and avoided the complete beat down he got last night at the hands of Donald Trump had he not made moves like bringing Neil Bush on board as his campaign finance chief. He didnt and so its time to throw in the towel.
Now his only chance to reclaim some of the popularity he enjoyed last spring is to suspend his campaign and allow Trump, the winner of the primary process...

The sooner the better.
The real motivation is control of the United States ............... period
Get out and have a bright future
Stay in and become an embarrassment and might be shun for the rest of his career
As a Cruz guy I agree. Trump won as much as that pains me to say.
100%
It’s time for any Republican in the world to just for once attack a Democrat instead of scrapping in the mud among themselves.
While Cruz is a better politician, Trump is a better candidate.
I’m hoping that is Cruz’s announcement later today.
At 45 Ted can go two ways
Get out and have a bright future
Stay in and become an embarrassment and might be shun for the rest of his career
Friends don’t let friends ruin their political careers by being stubborn self-centered *ssholes.
Cruz should drop today and kiss and make up with Donald. Cruz could be a good VP and 8 years away the Crown Prince, and 8 more years of sane leadership! 16 years to rebuild America!
We will see if the uniparty cedes their favored pawns.
I doubt very much they will.
Cruz and Kasich can best serve the conservative cause by disappearing and hoping no one remembers how much fools they made of themselves.
The republican uniparty establishment thinks Cruz is better.
Time for Ted to get onboard the Trump Train.
Just the sight of Cruz makes me want to wash my eyes out with Clorox and take a bath in sulphuric acid.
I said this a year ago; you're welcome :-)
Seriously, Cruz put together what could have been a successful rope-a-dope campaign against Jeb! and the rest of the GOPe, which would have been the most logical campaign to prepare for. OTOH, Trump is a once-in-a-generation phenomenon that no one could have prepared for; it may well be that the most surprised person about his success in this campaign happens to be The Donald himself, though he would never admit it--only people like Schumer publicly crow when they do better than they thought they would.
Cruz needs an intervention.
I’ve been wondering if Trump will listen to his own advice and drop out of the race when he loses Indiana next week and can not numerically achieve the 1237 required votes.
Trump is not a conservative and ran in the wrong party’s primary (he’s a Democrat at heart)....he and Hillary would have been a real contest and then winner could have run against a real conservative!
