I feel I need to do this. This is tearing us apart like the state tearing a father away from his children during a divorce. I don't visit the DUmmies, Kos Crazies or the Huffingstuff Post because for one, they're insane, two, I like my sanity, and three, the websites are poorly designed, though that's mostly DU.
They're probably laughing hysterically at the civil war everybody is having, because this election did far more than they could ever hope to achieve. This is far worse than the 2008 and 2012 elections. We knew we were getting screwed either way, and held our noses to vote for the establishment candidates.
I was originally for Cruz when he first announced. He spoke intelligently, and I liked what he had to say. When Trump announced, I thought "what a novel idea, someone that has actually created jobs running for president. This should be interesting." At first, we thought Cruz and Trump would work together and maybe join each other later on as a president/vice president ticket. Then, as I guess is predictable, the mud flinging began.
Over time, information began to come out showing Cruz's history. It showed him as a regular politician with a shady past. Now most recently the allegations that Cruz has had multiple affairs.
Trump has had affairs while married, but he admitted to those. He didn't keep them secret.
I've noticed that our civil war has waned a bit, but that Mason - Dixon line we drew in the sand will probably not go away. Anybody on the other side of the aisle that pays attention to this site has been laughing themselves to tears. We need to stop throwing punches at each other and return to the civility we had before Cruz was the first to announce.
The Hillary/Bernie wars over at the DUmmies are just as vicious as anything here. I check it out on occasion. Some of those Bernie folks are pretty funny on the subject of Hillary and her consort and Huma.
Trump suffers no backlash here, or among his worshippers but the general public is totally sick of him.

Apparently- evidently supporting cruz is ‘working to undermine trump and divide the GOP according to some- and evidently it’s a bannable offense- hence the bans- I’m seeing people being banned for saying they won’t support trump in the nomination- having said nothing about whether they will support him IF/When he gets the actual nomination-

Are we to assume that means knock him out in the primaries? I don’t see it mentioning people are only getting zotted for saying they will never support trump- One can only assume that supporting Cruz aND hoping he wins the nomination via the rules is “an attempt to knock out trump from the nomination”
Unless I’m just misreading things- It looks ot me that people are being zotted for even supporting Cruz in te primaries- Going down through the list shows these peopel neither attacking Jim personally, or saying they will never support trump no matter if he becomes nomination, yet they have been banned-
Maybe I’;m missing something- I don’t know- but it seems pretty clear to me-
So whadda ya figure, we dump Trump and get behind Cruz???
I was referring to Trump/Cruz SUPPORTERS, not the men themselves.
If Trump wasn’t in this race, we’d be hearing the same old sh*t we’ve heard the last 25 years...All talk and no intention of doing what they say...
It would be “politics as usual”....
Trump supporters need to learn how to support Trump without bashing Cruz with politics-as-usual hackery about unfounded affairs and other dishonest accusations. If you can frame it as saying you like both of them but prefer Trump because of his A, B, and C qualities, then you might get further.

Well, maybe you should go read my post from yesterday (it’s still in the breaking news column) and decide for yourself what I’m talking about. GOPers and NeverTrumpers trying to put Hillary in the white house by dividing and destroying our party at the convention will most definitely get a timeout for the duration. And those who continue flaming and disrupting our efforts here to unite our party behind our presumptive nominee in order to defeat Hillary, will most definitely get the zot. I don’t care who you support or vote for but if you’re here mainly to insult, flame, disrupt, recruit NeverTrumpers or otherwise hurt our chances of defeating Hillary in November, you’re not welcome here. You can carry on your destructive activities elsewhere.
That’s crap. While Cruz was calling Trump “my friend Donald” on stage he was telling supporters that he was waiting until just before the voting started to stab him in the back. Unfortunately for him someone recorded it and released it. Ted was Lyin’ from the start.

Just check out Mr. Trump’s Rallies and compare his to his rival’s on both sides of the aisle.
Only the Communist Sanders comes close to Mr. Trump in numbers and enthusiasm.

Are you serious? Ted Cruz has lied about every one of Trump’s positions, not once, but at every rally and everytime he’s on MSM. You’ve seen the proof posted 100 times here. Why do you continue to back Ted on this, when the proof is right in front of you?
Yeah, that’s why he consistently beats Cruz/Kasich in the popular votes...
I also like to add bits of my own experience that others may appreciate.
I am pro-life and I am well-versed in conservative politics at the local, state and the national level. I have homeschooled four children, one of which graduated from Hillsdale College. And, I will always love Ronald Reagan.
When this election cycle got going I liked both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump and I thought they would make a great team. I was actually rooting for both of them. But then one thing happened which soured me on Trump - it was when he verbally provided us all with a momentary visual of his manhood member. Nope. A president is not supposed to do that. Even Bill Clinton in his debates never did that. To me that is as disgusting as the feminoids telling us that we need to vote only for people with vaginas.
After that debate, when I posted my opinion on this site, I did not recognize half of the names who responded to me with unmistakable venom.
I do have a well-formed opinion even though some may disagree with it, but that is my God-given inalienable right that no one has the right to take away from me.
Some people believe that it is their right to deny others the right to think on this site.
It is better to argue fairly about policy and ideas. Only in that way does conversation really flow to its advantage.
It is my opinion that when we do not respect each other's opinions we are no better than a Soviet gulag.
And, one more thing, if you have nothing nice say to me - DO NOT RESPOND.
