The Cruz family humanizes the candidate on a CNN townhall

Ted Cruz, the junior senator from Texas, who is running for president, often gets a bad rap for being “unlikeable.” But he also has a very attractive family, including a beautiful, intelligent wife and two cute, adorable daughters, which was on full display on the CNN Cruz Family townhall, which involved questions from both the network’s Anderson Cooper and members of the audience.

Huh? The only one I saw “waving his Bible around” was Trump, showing off the seemingly unused Bible his mother gave him as a child.

Wow, that whole thing was a slam dunk for Cruz! Heidi would be fantastic First Lady, and the girls were cute as they could be. You could tell they were precocious, but they held it together pretty well for their age.

I found this appearance to be calculated and manipulative, particularly Heidi pushing Caroline into saying her favorite state was New York. Gee, how random.

“Agree 100% with you. Trump knows how to handle the incoming fire. Cruz would meltdown in a hurry. Look at how he lashed out at Drudge.”

Huh? Isn’t “lashing out” the very same thing Trump continually does? Why do you say that if Cruz “lashes out”, it is a “meltdown”, but when Trump lashes out and attacks people, it’s not?

He gets more speaking time because he’s the front runner. And because he takes it. Because he’s a leader

So do you hold his religion against him?
............................................

How serious about his FAITH do you think a man is who earns over $5 million and doesn’t give anything to his church because he FIRST had to look out for his families FINANCIAL security?

I can’t ignore that 800 pound gorilla when trying to square it with a candidate who has, ONLY WHEN he felt it mattered, got high on a soapbox and preached the word.

That and other actions and flip flopping stands by Cruz and his campaign make me very cautious about who Cruz truly is if he can be trusted.

It was a great interview. Heidi is an asset and an accomplished, articulate woman. The older girl is very intelligent. The little five year old was taking it all in.

They appear to be a close-knit family.

I too read the same quote: that Cruz said he would do a better job on his [nonexistent/zero] tithing once his family’s financial situation was secure. I looked for it but could not find it. I found dozens of links to the time in Iowa when Cruz blamed his present-day lack of tithing on his financial situation from ten years ago. That interview is so ubiquitous, however, that if you want to read it you’ll have no difficulty finding it on your very first search.

[After I typed that, I realized I still had one window open on the Iowa interview. Here’s the link, save you a little time]:

I would like to ask you this before you read on. Will it affect your opinion of Cruz if you determine what I said to be true?

Here is just one of many, many articles about Cruz and his lack of tithing. I have specifically read that he gave zero to church because he said he was providing for his family’s financial security. If it means enough to you, seek and you will find the specific info. I would not print it if I was not confident it was true.

No sport. By your bashing of Cruz’s Christianity, along with your continued propagation of lies about “mistresses,” the moron bit is all yours.

Believe it or not you are correct. Cruz isn’t in trying to ‘beat down’ and opponent. He is focused on solving our countries current MESS.

Highly agree. A lot of TV Star lemmings say anecdotally that Trump is a GREAT businessman and therefore by extension a wonderful boss. There is NO evidence to support that for the majority of underlings who ‘work’ for him.

On the other hand, the sincerity of the Cruz family as we say yesterday, is an anecdotal gem.
