People want Trump.
Political insiders, want Cruz.
Actually the people that go to conventions are the Republican base, the most conservative. And these people always vote.
Polls don’t mean anything. Locking up delegates does.
Maybe a slight correction to your post....the political insiders don’t want Cruz. They just have no other choice if they don’t want Trump.
If you want to believe "the polls", then 70% of Americans don't want Trump.

Colorado is communist territory. It’s liberal with small pockets of conservative voters...but those conservative voters don’t like ‘transients’ which is how they would view Trump. Because Cruz claims Texas, they’d rather have him. He’s not as much as a transient.
However, I seriously doubt he’d be able to fly over the communists,and Colorado has become VERY communist. It USED to be a rather free place with communist accent flavoring, here and there, but not any more.
It’s a nice meme to say people pick trump but the party is picking Cruz.
That’s all it is though. Passionate people get things done. Fair weather folks do one thing and step away feeling like there effort should matter as much as the one who has spent hours and days working for it.
If Cruz’ efforts are making you feel impotent - do something. Posting her won’t help because all you’ll get out of it are affirmations. Yes! People agree that trump should be allowed to walk into the Whitehouse now! Or, yes! People who support Cruz are wearing blinders.
Truth is we are, mostly, good folks who are passionate.
What can you do in your town, county, district, state? I’m saying this as a FRiend and a person who’s frustration has been put to good use in the past.

I doubt Cruz will be the nominee—it will be Ryan or maybe Walker...but regardless, I won’t vote for Cruz.
Exit POLL in Wisconsin showed 73% said that they thought Trump was too SCARY to be elected President.
I do not like polls but you do. Cruz is picking up DELEGATES and that is what matters right now.
Winning votes at the POLLS is for the General election which Cruz will do because Republicans will turn out at the POLLS to vote this year like never before.
