Ted Cruz won the Wisconsin Republican primary tonight, making it much more difficult for Donald Trump to win the GOP nomination before the convention in July (indeed, he now needs the same percent of remaining delegates as Bernie Sanders does to win the Democrat primary). As the results were coming in, The Donald released a pitiful, nasty statement unworthy of a presidential candidate.
Look up "sore loser" in the dictionary, and you're likely to find the Trump campaign statement after Wisconsin. Yes, it is that bad. Don't believe me? Fine, here it is in all of its glory:
A Tea Party conservative might find it ironic that Trump compares Cruz (once nearly universally hated among GOP elites) to the "establishment," declaring that he had "the entire party apparatus behind him." It is true that more moderate Republicans such as Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, and Jeb Bush have supported Cruz, but the Texas senator is still a far cry from an "establishment puppet."
These are less the arguments of a confident challenger and more the complaints of a spoiled child. Some have characterized such comments as "extreme whining," not without merit. Trump also complained about being treated unfairly on other occasions, especially by Fox News. Here's a newsflash: Presidents do not get treated fairly. If you really want to win this thing, you need to accept that.
Donald Trump is a bully.
I'm going to vote for Cruz because I imagined him giving me a Porsche in 2021! He's got my vote because of that car!
i think you’ve confused brokered convention path cruz with majority delegate path trump... ;)
You know what Trump is going to do if he goes head to head against Hillary? Hes going to do another press conference, only this time hes going to bring out the sexual assault victims of Bill Clinton and hes going to have each one of them describe how they were assaulted and how they were threatened by Hillary Clinton, I absolutely guarantee that.
<><><><><
And then Trump will be asked, and rightfully so, why have you financially supported this person, spoken her up, had her to your wedding if you knew she was such a evil person?
I know what you were really saying is that you wish Donald would do this, but the situation you describe above is exceedingly unlikely.
So you are another one who thinks that Trump should be handed the nomination even if he doesn’t get a majority?
“...majority delegate path trump... ;)”
haha! not for long. :)
Cruz is now beholden to the GOP Establishment.
And Kasich is beholden to Soros.
The Republican candidates have written Hillary’s fall ads for her already. Same people who elected Obama twice are working hard to elect Hillary.
The "poor Trump is a victim" strategy has always been pathetic and ineffectual.
The statement was spot on! I wouldn’t expect anything less from someone who is pulling the wool off of all the establishment “YES MEN” and showing the voters the dirt that goes on behind the scenes. Cruz did have all the media and Party MEN bashing Trump but Trump being the fighter he continued with his many rallies.
I’ve learned by the many rallies I’ve sat through that when Trump makes a statement about a company leaving, or the shenanigans that goes on he’s most always correct. He wouldn’t make an outright statement about the PAC without good proof. There has to be a trail when someone buys something in order to use it. I guess eventually the truth will be told.
Speaking of proof, wheres your proof that Trump has no proof about Cruz PAC coordination?
So far in the presidential race, Im glad that Im a Trump apologist and not a Cruz apologist.
” It is true that more moderate Republicans such as Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, and Jeb Bush have supported Cruz,
BUT the Texas senator is still a far cry from an “establishment puppet.”
BUT? DUH ? HUH ?
he’ll have a lot more than Cruz at the end of the primaries..
“She would crush him”
I agree with what you are saying. But I would also add that Ted Cruz has no chance of winning the states of Florida, North Carolina and Virginia; especially Florida !!
For the past 20 years 300,000 people have moved to Florida each year; most of them from the NorthEast and MidWest big cities. Because of this, each year Florida becomes less conservative and more Independent/Liberal. He will get destroyed in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties, the largest population centers as well as the metro Tampa Bay area.
The Ted Cruz brand of conservatism just does not play well in FL and anybody that tries to make the case for a Cruz victory is simply lying.
The same migration pattern holds true for NC, which has seen a huge influx of NorthEasterners. Many move to FL first, then to NC; we call them “halfbacks”
He needs all four of: FL, NC, OH and VA to make 270. Once he loses Florida, it’s game over !!!
So what makes you think that Cruz won't double cross them? I mean you Trump supporters so love to call him "Lyin' Ted" and accuse him of all kinds of vile betrayals and dirty deeds.
???? Does that really make sense to you?
Trump accuses Cruz of something (breaking a law) and you demand TexasCajun prove that Cruz didnt do what Trump accused him of, because of your principle that all accusations should require proof?
Every day I think I read the nuttiest Trumpee comment I will ever, till the next
Yeah, you Cruzzers are sore because Trump lost so big last night :)
BTW see for more nuttiness: #39
