I hope this isn’t the case.

The timing is suspicious. If this was true why didn’t it come out months ago.

The Party is really playing with fire.

I have no evidence even remotely suggesting that he has employed dirty tricks. But there is plenty of evidence supporting dirty tricks being played on him. If you have some evidence, not speculations, bring it forth. I’m open to honest evaluation.

Thanks for the comprehensive summary. The article isn’t even published yet. We will find out Thursday. Not impressed with Cruz’s “denial”. He blames it on Trump, when he’s known for weeks it’s not true. Slimey.

How is this Trump’s fault if it’s Rubio’s people spreading this?

Great question.

Everyone ignored this smear until some polling turned up poorly for Trump (down 5 in WI and only up 3 nationally), combined with blowback on the Trump attack on Heidi Cruz.

THen magically the story comes forth courtesy of his good pal at the NE MR Pecker and his old pal/smear artist Roger Stone the same team that slimed Ben Carson in the same rag last Nov.

Perhaps you choose to bury you head in the sand some of us didn’t fall off th turnip truck yesterday.

In recent years, I have not cared for Savage, but now I have some respect for him.

I knew something smelled to high heaven about the ad being put out in a state that didn’t even need an ad. What I want to know is, when will Romney withdraw his endorsement of Cruz!

from your link: “The ad predictably created anger from Donald Trump, which then quickly escalated into remarks by both Ted Cruz and his own wife, Heidi Cruz.

That ongoing back and forth sniping is said to have been a planned event by the Cruz campaign to try and intermingle the Cruz-Trump dispute with the pending National Enquirer story in an effort to confuse voters as to what was really going on. Initially it appears to have worked as the Mainstream Media has focused almost entirely on the Trump-Cruz back and forth involving the defense of their respective wives, and almost no attention by this same Mainstream Media has been devoted to the Cruz sex scandal story.

That's a little naive. Why do you think Washington is in the mess it's in now? Bribery and BLACKMAIL. As the sitting President, you can't give your opponents real ammunition. So, it is a LITTLE relevant....

I understand that many people do base their election decision upon the candidate's personal life. I do not and wish it were not so for others. Some people judge a candidate upon his looks or voice. I wish it were not so. I don't need to be buddies with the guy. I just need for him to make decisions which adhere to the Constitution.

So, yes, naive though I may be, I do understand that personal matters are relevant to actually being elected, but I do not think this is a proper way to choose a leader.

He’s spreading the story with his tweets, hoping to keep it alive. It’s disingenuous to suggest that he’s not trying to take political advantage of it.

You should probably start by checking out The Donald’s Twitter feed.

You’re welcome.

Is it true that Viagra just gave a $1 million contribution to a merger of the ¿Jeb? super-PAC and the Cruz super PAC?

Good for Michael Savage. Trump’s buddies at the National Enquirer have really engaged in despicable behavior. This sort of thing should give pause to Trump supporters as should Trump’s ugliness toward Heidi Cruz.

You're totally and completely wrong. Rubio had a 3-2-1 strategy, come in 3rd, then 2nd, then 1st and he was on his way. His camp was devoted to it and sure it would work. Only Christie did him in and then he did himself in with his you know what they say about men with small hands routine ...

A couple weeks ago after their strategy failed, they began peddling the Cruz story. There is a #thething at twitter, where rubio supporters and campaign folk talk about it in guarded but not totally vague terms.

Breitbart has said they tried to sell it to them and they thought it was "too thin". I don't have the link but google and the article and updates should pop up.

As far as NE, they have done plenty of horrible stories on Trump, especially during his divorces. Roger Stone was one of the many people contacted to comment on the story, and was the only one who did so. He did not source the story, nor did the article say he did. The NE has endorsed Trump as many other sites have endorsed Cruz. They all fill their pages with stuff that supports their candidates or damages their opponents.

You’re welcome. Come upon it by accident because someone at another site said he was fired from the Times, so I went looking, but that was not the case. It was the other paper mentioned in the post. Free Examiner or whatever. Never heard of it.
