>Are you a religious extremist? For years, world leaders have been endlessly proclaiming that we need to eradicate “extremism”, but what actually is “extremism”? Many would point to the ISIS jihadists over in the Middle East that are beheading people that don’t agree with them as examples of religious extremists, and I think that very few people would argue with that. But our politicians (especially the liberal ones) rarely use the term “Islamic terrorists” anymore. Instead, they tend to use the term “religious extremists”, and that has a much, much broader connotation. In fact, if you are a Bible-believing Christian, you are probably included in that category.
Most Bible-believing Christians would never think of themselves as being similar to radical jihadists in the Middle East, but that is precisely how many of their fellow Americans very them. The Barna Group has just released a shocking new study which found that 45 percent of all “non-religious” Americans believe that “Christianity is extremist”…
The perception that the Christian faith is extreme is now firmly entrenched among the nations non-Christians. A full forty-five percent of atheists, agnostics, and religiously unaffiliated in America agree with the statement Christianity is extremist. Almost as troubling is the fact that only 14 percent of atheists and agnostics strongly disagree that Christianity is extremist. The remaining four in ten (41%) disagree only somewhat. So even non-Christians who are reluctant to fully label Christianity as extremist, still harbor some hesitations and negative perceptions toward the religion.
Even more troubling is what the study discovered about how the general population views specific religious activities. There has been a tremendous shift in society, and behaviors that were considered to be completely mainstream a few decades ago are now considered to be “extremism”.
Are you ready to take a test? Look over the Barna infographic that I have shared below very carefully. Have you ever participated in any of these “extremist activities”?…
If you have ever participated in any of the activities listed in category 1 or category 2, you are a “religious extremist” according to most Americans.
Of course every single one of the behaviors in category 2 would potentially apply to me, so I guess that would make me an “extremist” according to this definition.
This is where our society is heading. Of course “Christian extremists” are not normally put into prison in the United States quite yet, but hatred toward our faith in rapidly rising in society. Church attendance is dropping like a rock, the Christian faith is relentlessly mocked in movies and on television, and incidents of hostility toward Christians have doubled over the past three years.
And the truth is that even the federal government and the military are rapidly turning against Bible-believing Christians. For example, the slide that I have posted below comes from a U.S. Army Reserve Equal Opportunity training brief that described “Evangelical Christianity” and “Catholicism” as examples of “religious extremism”…
Once this came out, there was a huge uproar and some people got into trouble over this. But it should be exceedingly alarming to people of faith that U.S. military personnel were being trained that evangelical Christians are on the same level as the Ku Klux Klan.
And of course this is far from the only example of this phenomenon. In fact, Christians have regularly been described as “extremists” and “potential terrorists” in official U.S. government documents since the day that Barack Obama first stepped into the White House.
The following is an extended excerpt from my previous article entitled “72 Types Of Americans That Are Considered ‘Potential Terrorists’ In Official Government Documents“

Are you starting to get the picture?
There is a systematic attempt by the radical leftists that dominate our society to demonize Bible-believing Christians. They want to portray us as “religious extremists” that are just as dangerous as ISIS is.
Given enough time, they would not just come after us with words. Throughout history, we have seen the same thing happen with so many other groups. First they were marginalized, then they were demonized, then they were criminalized, and then ultimately they were marked for elimination.
If you are a Bible-believing Christian, you need to get ready for intense persecution, because it is most definitely heading our way.
I guess you gotta count me in.
Already underway. Nothing new.
Liberals are guilty of everything in Cat 2 and two of three in Cat 1. So who is the “extremist?”
I didn’t see any test.
If it’s a dog whistle, I must not be the dog.
This nonsense is from a die hard leftist perspective. It shows how well our culture has been turned upside down.
Every time I see reminders like this my temper boils a tad knowing this once great nation never had to be trashed in the first place. Knowing that if we had a genuine two party system, two opposing parties adhering to the Constitution, and always finding solutions in the peoples best interest, we would not be where we are at today.
IMO, the biggest problem is the Republican party, instead of giving good opposition, they just let the dems go farther and farther left, and then just following along, giving them whatever they want.
Americans know this, that’s why the GOPe is toast. Even if Hitlery wins, the GOPe is toast. They will be replaced.
Gun control, in some ways, is a proxy for persecuting Christians, since many of them are also gun owners. They take Luke 22:36 to heart.
Which one in Cat 1 do you think does not apply to libs?
It’s okay real Christians, you can hang out with us Torah Jews. We’re used to this.
May I be extremely extreme in my fidelity to the Lord and His revealed will.
I’m an extremist.
I would refuse to serve someone who believed being gay meant I was obligated to serve him.
I have attempted (successfully) to convert others to my faith.
I have taught my children that same sex relationships are a violation of God’s word and are wrong. (And that there is way too much emphasis on “gay”, which is an intentional distraction by the left to keep us from doing God’s work)
I believe that same sex relationships are both gross and immoral.
I actively protest government policies that conflict with my religion or with the religious rights of Jews.
I even believe in refraining from sex until marriage, donate generously to my church, read the Bible in public, attend church weekly, and volunteer to help those in need (work a soup kitchen weekly).
It doesn’t get more extremist than me - except those who blow themselves or others up for their faith, but that’s not extremist, it’s diversity, and who are we to judge them?
Scored Zero on the Religious Extremist test, but 90% on the gubmint’s extremist test, aced them all but for the religion stuff.
Of course I am, and have been accused of being one on FR because I said I am a born again Christian.
Some of the links in the 72 items list are incorrect. For example, the “Oppose Agenda 21” link goes to the Army memorandum, which does support many of the other points on the list, but does not mention Agenda 21.
Im guessing most FReepers agree with this Cat 1 offense:
The problem with this characterization is the phrasing:
refusing to serve a customer whose lifestyle conflicted with their beliefs
The word serve is misleading.
The actual cases in court require PARTICIPATION OR IMPLICIT ENDORSEMENT or FACILITATION.
Wedding Cakes, Floral arrangements, Photography, B&B rentals, Wedding Venues.
And are guilty of this Cat 2 offense:
“demonstrating outside an organization they consider immoral and protesting government policies that conflict with religious views.”
My quick googling of “Torah Jews” finds a number of sites which imply that Torah Jews are “opposed to the Zionist state of Israel”. Is this true?
BTW, I’m a red-hot Christian Zionist who says, “Am Israel chai!”.
Am I still in the club if I’m only guilty of 37?
How does one “suddenly purchase a firearm”?
Is there a slow way to purchase one?
There are some Haredi ultra Orthodox sects/movements/dynasties/whatever that are anti-Zionist, and a small population. They can hold whatever opinion they want in a free country.
Every individual who contributed to this government document should be sent to a Constitutional Reeducation Camp. Those who cannot be reeducated should be lined up against the wall and shot.
(A play on Billy-Boy Ayers estimate that 25 million or so conservatives who can’t be reeducated will have to be eliminated when “they” take over.)
