America used to be an optimistic nation with a bright future. Reagan gave us a glimpse of its potential again but it was only a short glimpse and it's been pretty much downhill since that fateful day in Texas.
Donald Trump is just one man. But perhaps he can be the catalyst for the change we need.
Weird coincidence, though. Nixon had been in Dallas at a Pepsi bottlers meeting just prior to Kennedy’s assassination. He flew out of Dallas on the morning of Nov 22, 1963.
From the Google newspaper archive...Nixon making comments on Kennedy dropping Johnson as VP for the 1964 election. Comments made just prior to Kennedy’s assassination.
The Dispatch - Nov 22, 1963 - Nixon Says Johnson Will Go If Things Get Tough

Go Trump!
No doubt.
The reality of this election presents a great opportunity for freeping:
No matter who the pubblies nominate, Hillary will be running for the other side.
This will be a great opportunity for us to educate the millennials, who were all told in High School by their unionized gov teachers: “Clinton was the best president evah...”, just what an impeached, disbarred, traitorous, criminal rapist he really was.
That he screwed up the country: aided a militaristic China with secret missile tech, left us a dot.com recession, drastically cut defense which ultimately led to 911.
We could turn a sizable part of that generation away from the dems.
Would you buy a used Camelot from that guy?
“America once had a president who sought peace, but with a firm hand; a president who vowed to crush the Federal Reserve, who warned the nation about secret societies, who wanted to shut down the military-industrial complex and the CIA itself; a young president who wanted nothing to do with the killing fields of Southeast Asia. “
The author couldn’t have packed more nonsense into one paragraph if he was trying.
Maybe they'll pick the box with the mule...where Carol Merrill is standing.
Kennedy worship. You can see it in a King straight to TV movie, 11-22-63.
Steve even sends a character to the past to change the future, save Kennedy, then everything’s just swell.
I agree Donald can’t do this all alone. It is “WE” the people who need to start voting in Constitutionalist not just any politician who are claiming they are Conservatives.
LBJ all the way!
[The author apparently doesnt know that JFK was in Texas because he was probably not going to be re-elected and he needed Texas. So, everyone didnt believe things were wonderful.]
You are so right. Many of his advisers told him not to go to Texas or for that matter any other place in the South. I will paraphrase his response to them, “When I go there and they can see me and get to know me they will love me.”
Wow that is interesting. Also rumors has it that Papa George Bush was in Dallas at that time. Who knows, it would not surprise me since Daddy Bush was the head of the CIA.
The first President I truly loathed. One of the rare instances where the Right and the Left both hated the same guy.
Anyway, I've been reading Dereliction of Duty which provides excellent background of events beginning with the election of Kennedy. Some I remember from the time but this fills in many details.
National enquirer says scalia was murdered. I pray for the safety of trump
The Constitution means nothing to him. Like Obama, he will see it as on obstacle to his desires and work against it to achieve his business and personal goals.
But, if he lucks out and wins the general, his supporters will dismiss all of this for 4 or 8 or however many years he is in power and promising (yet never delivering) on "the wall" while he enriches himself and works his "incredible deals".
Which is why many of us are worried about an assassination attempt . Audit the Fed ? Kennedy and Larry McDonald wanted to as well . We know what happened to them ...
No, he didn't vow to do anything to the Fed.
who warned the nation about secret societies,
He was warning about Commies.
who wanted to shut down the military-industrial complex and the CIA itself;
But he didn't want to do that.
Donald Trump wants to audit the Federal Reserve.
They're audited every year already. By Deloitte.
No American President has said this since John F. Kennedy.
Kennedy never said that.
“Kennedy worship.”
Absolutely.
Kennedy was very good at press conferences. A handsome and polished politician.
But he was a very poor commander in chief and he set in motion our no win Vietnam war. And most damaging of all the 1965 immigration act passed after his death was his bill.
He’s not a threat to the establishment as much as he is a threat to Constitutionalism.
