Republican presidential candidate and current Ohio governor John Kasich is under fire for recently having described how he got elected to his first political office back in 1978.
Kasich told an audience at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, yesterday that he won a seat in the Ohio state Senate with the support of "many women, who left their kitchens to go out and go door-to-door and put yard signs up for me. All the way back when -- you know, things were different. Now you call homes and everybody's out working. But at that time, early days, it was an army of women that really helped me get elected to the state Senate."
Nothing wrong at all with him or anyone having said something like that; in fact nowadays we need much more of it.
For obvious reasons, the Left are going hog wild, pouncing on this latest opportunity to scream and holler about alleged misogynistic bigotry from old white Republican men.
Unfortunately, castrated Kasich -- like almost every single other scaredy-cat/cuckservative white man in the public eye -- under the usual onslaught of the political correctness gestapo is of course apologizing & explaining defensively only, not firing back.
I'm not a Kasich supporter in this GOP nomination race. What we need are leaders who will chastise these derelict women and tell them to get back into the kitchens and homes of their families, and stop all this abandonment of their natural gender role responsibilities; stop all this seeking to compete with/displace men in the workplace, stop butchering their unborn babies, and so on.
When women gained their equality, they lost their superiority.
Society is falling apart; the institution of the family is under constant attack and barely hanging on. As a country, we've been subsidizing and encouraging illegitimacy, single parenthood, feral & violent youth, and a perpetual cycle of dysfunction by pretending that there's nothing wrong with women acting like men.
If old, white Republican men don't chastise the slut culture and the wayward, willful women who too often abandon their natural function in life, who will? Certainly not the leftist destroyers of society. They're too busy shoving transgenderism onto our shoolhildren and transforming our military forces into a completely feminized farce.
Kasich should not have issued a groveling apology, or any apology, to women for saying women “left their kitchens” to support him in his first campaign. It was in no way demeaning, especially when taken in the context of the time to which he was referring. It’s akin to the groveling apology issued for saying “All lives matter.” The groveling waa much more revealing of the men than the original comments.
The phrase tells you more about Kasich than he wants us to know.
Kay Sick (AKA Pig Vomit) is a leftist. That his fellow travelers are turning on him is just desserts.
It was really more of a defensive explanation than a groveling apology, but still, what we need are leaders who will stay on the offensive and deliberately offend, say offensive things (like Trump does) instead of always being on defense, always seeking the approval of the enemy....
What phrase?
Oh.
Getting women out of the kitchen.
Reminiscent of “barefoot and pregnant.”
1. Kasich must not cook.
2. He is used to the domestic female.
3. His concept is +/-50 years ago.
4. How he basically thinks of women is in that phrase.
My 2 cents.
I’ll bet he works with/around women whom he tolerates as AA hires.
One more thing...
Love the tagline. True, too.
So you either didn’t read the post, or didn’t grasp it, or you disagree with it. ?
Serves me right maybe? The evening of the day I post an article on my blog about how a woman’s place is in the home(in response to the recent John Kasich controversy), my wife calls me from a nearby shopping center where she’s stranded with a flat tire on her way home from errands after work. So I have to go pick up our son from his after school care program, then go to where she’s stranded, let her drive my car home with kid while I stay there to change the tire in the dark and the cold, drizzling rain. Of course the mini-spare is flat too, but luckily a gas station is close enough to roll there and buy air for $1.25....oh the joys of being a male chauvinist. I suppose I could have just said, hey, we’re equals, anything I can do, you can do, traditional gender roles are so backward and oppressive, liberate yourself and wrestle the automobile up onto the jack, wrestle the tires on and off, etc....lol
I read your post.
I was just trying to explain what I had meant by/my perspective on Kasich’s use of “out of their kitchens.”
Why would you interpret it that way? Are you a lefty/feminist?
No, I am not a lefty.
But Kasich is running for POTUS and has outed himself. Some/many women will not take the phrase well, even if they would ‘get out of their kitchens.’
Kasich can’t afford to offend that voting segment.
I would hope men can cook. I do. So does my brother, who is a really good cook.
No, we need leaders who will deliberately offend inferior people and make them uncomfortable; we need leaders who make life difficult for the cultural destroyers, so much so that they either leave the U.S. or change in order to escape the harassment and harsh conditions of the consequences of their leftist scumbag b.s.
By your mentality, we need to just suck up to the Marxists and beg them to love us, accept all their premises, and seek their approval
I say call them out, call them on their inferior philosophy and point out the full ramifications of their destructive mentality until they are ashamed and/or miserable from the onslaught. The playing nice/trying to get them to love us crap has not worked. If they are offended, and don’t want to vote for us, and we lose elections, that means our society is too far gone to deserve our leadership. Read the last part of my post, about how the gender-equality b.s. is destroying society.
I think even a lot of them don't really want to do it, but feminist peer pressure is tremendous.
Did you remove the duct tape long enough for her to say so?
No. That is actually not my mentality.
These people vote. A candidate can’t ram anything down their throats.
You and I disagree on this.
See comment #49.
You’re accepting their premises and agreeing with the overall mindset.
If you think elections aren’t one group ramming their will upon anyone who disagrees, then how is it you think laws and election results are enforced?
Hence why smart people like Ann Barnhart and Ann Coulter point out how our country began unravelling when women got the vote. Husband’s votes cancelled out by opposing wives’ votes; men no longer voting on behalf of their families, runaway social spending programs, destruction of family, etc.
