Whatever happened to my FLYING CAR, or SODA POP TAPS on my kitchen sink ?

Over my lifetime, I have been promised many things by the government, and the only one they have come through on is MORE TAXES.

US uses about 7 million barrels a year. The old math tells me that’s a 70 billion dollar tax increase each and every year.

It would put the US into a Depression every bit as great as the Great Depression, and drag the global economy into a new dark age. This guy knows nothing about economics (or freedom).

The proposal would help bring America's infrastructure into the 21st century, and provide a clear incentive for private-sector innovation to reduce our reliance on oil and invest in clean-energy technologies that will power our future, according to a White House memo.

No it wouldn't. It would just destroy the US oil industry.

We would import more foreign oil and stop drilling for oil in the US.

This happens every time gas gets cheap. Some suit in that weird little town in Maryland gets the idea: “Raise gas taxes! Hey, maybe they won’t notice.”

Not this time. This won’t go anywhere.
