An old saying exists in military science that says the amateurs study tactics, whereas professionals study logistics. The equivalent in politics is that amateurs study rhetoric while professionals study turnout. Because Ted Cruz had become the master of the latter, he won the Iowa Caucuses when most of the pundits had concluded that Donald Trump was going to edge out the senator from Texas.

Simple, 60-70K people who voted for Democrats last time signed up as new GOP on the day of voting so as to pump up Rubio da Rino and eventually force a brokered convention where the GOPe can install whom they want.
The noobs were Trump supporters, who showed up to vote for the RINO/fake conservative Trump, who cannot flame out soon enough for real conservatives.
Dont be fooled. Cruz is no outsider. He has neocons backing him...like co founder of chertoff group. Chad sweet. Chertoff advised romney
The real question is can Cruz replicate his Iowa organization in the other 49 states? A lot of candidates do well in Iowa because they devote the time/resources, but then find they aren’t well position everywhere else.
All this analysis and hype over Cruz getting ONE delegate more than Trump. This is why politics is so stupid.
Yup all 43k of them went to rubio and the other 17k to Carson. Or was that Cruz? If after the tweet they may have voted for DT if he was their 2nd choice./s
