Reviewing the figures of the counties remaining to be counted, it appears that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders will narrowly eke out Hillary Clinton at tonight's Iowa caucuses. The precincts left to be counted seem to heavily favor Sanders and offer him victory tonight.
As of 11:06 there are just 9.6% of caucuses left to be counted, with Sanders behind by 0.2%. The counties still out for the count appear to be heavily assisting Sanders, with his total to soon overtake Clinton's.
Politico has some of the final results here.
In Blackhawk County with 13% left to count:
B. Sanders 53.6% 3,187 H. Clinton 46.1% 2,743
In Boone County with 20% to count:
B. Sanders 55.3% 611 H. Clinton 44.7% 494
In Cerro Gordo County with 11% to count:
B. Sanders 51.9% 968 H. Clinton 48.1% 897

Didn't Romney declare victory in 2012 only to ultimately lose to Santorum?
Obama is covering for her because she is the most likely nominee. If that inevitability goes away they will throw her under the bus and not even blink. Her best hope is that she will be convicted before Obama leaves office and he will pardon her.
Guess they can't take it away from her now, huh?
Burn H->, Burn. And your broom too.
New York values may work in New Hampshire but they won’t sell in South Carolina.
Iowa was an important Midwest bellwether and Cruz took it. He has strong chances on all southern states.
Trump needed Iowa. He didn’t get it.
[[Even funnier if she is wrong! I hope that isnât too much to ask for!]]
I would go to bed tonight a very happy person if she loses after declaring victory
Im ok with Cruz or Trump. IA was a natural base for Cruz and not Trump. Had rump won and Cruz come in 2nd that would have been a big blow to Cruz. Trump was merely scratched tonight. He’ll be well healed by, and especially after, NH
Trump was supposed to be invincible. This has shown that he's not. Yeah, Iowa just did was Iowa always does, but Trump was supposed to be a game-changer. He was supposed to change the dynamic. Tonight's results may well put Rubio over the top in NH. I sure as hell hope not.
Back to 50/50 at 11:45pm EST........
Yep, as a non-politician, Trump needed the win more to establish credibility, and not come off as a novelty act.
I disagree. SC is not heavily populated with religious folks like Iowa and is much bigger state than IA. And more important, it is a regular primary, not a 2-3 hour Caucus, and there is no snow storm approaching. Trumps lead over Cruz is 500% bigger in SC compared to IA, in RCP average of polls. That will be tough to overcome for anyone.
Can someone be pardoned BEFORE they are convicted? No way a trial for Hillary will be over before O leaves office.........
But I doubt she’ll ever be charged, let alone go to trial.......
I have been following this thing all the way. I never thought of him as invincible nor did he ever say that. He himself said he would “like” to win Iowa this past weekend, he never predicted he would win. He will move on like it never happened.
by signing a pardon you are admitting to criminal wrong-doing. otherwise, a person cannot be pardoned.
Do not count on Iowa as a signal of future trends. Non-incumbent nominees have seldom won Iowa in recent years. Hillary will beat Sanders in all large states except CA.
Got is exactly backwards. Cruz himself said he needed Iowa or Trump would run the table. Cruz needed Iowa, Trump did not. Trump has NH.
Cruz should have done well in Iowa since Evangelicals are 61% of the vote there.
Nobody won or lost tonight. This was just round one of a long campaign. Cruz is now a little ahead, and should have some momentum going forward. But there is no winner until one candidate seals the nomination. And then there’s November....
Trial over? Trial will not even BEGIN during Obama’s Justice Dept. Hillary will be found dead before she is indicted and convicted by the next admin.
