Just when Sarah Palinâs enemies thought they would not have her to kick around anymore, she dropped the political equivalent of a nuclear bomb and endorsed Donald Trump for president. Her 20-minute speech at a rally in Ames, Iowa while the Donald stood by like a fidgety school boy was a stream of consciousness production that so violated the conventional rules of rhetoric that Cicero would have opened his veins had he heard it. But Hunter Schwarz caught the poetic cadence of chiasmus, a Hebrew form of parallelism which she likely picked up attending church. The Washington elites may have rolled their eyes but her target audience, evangelicals, understood her exactly.

As a woman she chose the alpha male of the group. Quite simple really.

I like Palin, so though I’m a Cruz guy, this isn’t a criticism.
I assume she chose Trump for a couple of reasons. She believes he will win; she believes what he has said publicly he would do in office, he has made her some private assurances about what he will do in office, and possibly promised her a role in doing it.

Betting the farm and one’s good name on a professional Promoter’s sound byte promotion, might prove to be a bad bet.

Only Gov Palin’s support can help Trump over the line and he knows it. Hope Trump remembers his promise that he will step[ down after two years in the WH and hand over the presidency to somebody with more executive experience. Gov Palin is willing to serve as POTUS if entrusted the job.
