Charles Krauthammer Reveals the Candidate He Thinks Is Most Likely to Win the Republican Nomination

Conservative pundit Charles Krauthammer said Friday on the Fox News Channel that he believes it is now a three person race for the Republican 2016 nomination, with Donald Trump most likely to win.

Speaking on "Special Report," the syndicated columnist used $100 in "casino chips" to illustrate his point.

Krauthammer placed a $40 bet on the chances that Trump would secure the nomination, followed by a $30 bet on Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came in third with $20 and Krauthammer reserved $10 for "wine, women and song."(continued)

These articles come out every election cycle, always before anyone has voted and always the same steaming pile....”its over, jump on the LIEberal ticket. If you weren’t wotried and trying to stifle turnout, you’d leave well enough alone.

Did not work for Romney, nor McLame... Both of whom managed to squeeze out the conservative right before Super Tuesday. Keep sweating you Nellies! Not this time!

At least he didn’t join the gang of 21 or 22 on NRO.

It’s still funny how Kirstin and Steve Hayes are clinging to the notion that Marco is going to pull this out.

Kraut, as you may recall, was betting $5 chips on Trump only a month or so ago, now he has that look of acceptance. I think in his heart it’s time to bet the bank roll on Trump, but he’s waiting for that first big name conservative or On the Hill guy to say “he’s the man!”

It could be Henry Kissinger or Mitch McConnell or another unbelievable surprise, but most likely it will start with someone less known, then like water will flow to a stream etc.

I think Cruz’ ad was petty and chicken bleep. They think by going back twenty years they can beat the guy, or find some case and embellish it, like the lady whose house was torn down. I think he paid her royally in the end.

These idiots don’t realize that the cross over votes are drawn to the guys who is a success and walks over people to win, but plays fair.

We are watching a phenomenon..(love that word). The man will win every single primary...and every state in the national election.

He will spend the less money.

Who cares what an establishment gop thinks? He might as well write for national review. They’re all finished. They’ve been exposed as having no clothes.

Like I said in a curiously deleted thread, "It's over. It's over now."

Kraut switched to Trump when Trump began impugning Cruz’ integrity.

You have a Rhodesian ridgeback!?!

That was our family childhood dog. Every time I see a short haired dog roughly the same size and color I look for a ridge. If I see one, I have to go pet and talk.

"He seems to be having more trouble breathing as he talks."

When Charles Krauthammer was in his first year of medical school, he lost the use of his legs in a diving board accident when he dove headfirst into a pool, hitting the bottom and damaging his spinal cord. He has learned to use his hands. The paralysis has also affected the muscles he uses to breath. He has learned to compensate for that muscle dysfunction which is noticeable in a laborious breathing.

“Reality strikes Kraut”

Yeah, a bitter pill for Charles for sure. Btw, a good guy and someone to admire considering what he’s done with his life after his accident.

I regularly watch 'Special Report', and have seen most of the 'Candidate Casinos'. The panelists simply have been reflecting the news of the week. Their bets have varied wildly over the months, and reveal nothing. In the round discussed here, Steve Hayes even placed most of his money on Hillary, and then said he thought she would be indicted. If it were a real bet, why would he do that?

Krauthammer has turned into a rambling idiot. His comments on this show were simply a repetition of what he said the day earlier. Why not stay home, and play a repeat video? These people all live, eat, and breathe in the NY-DC cocoon, and haven't a clue of what's going on in the real world.

"He seems to be having more trouble breathing as he talks."

He's hyperventilating over the leaders in the GOP. It's hard to hyperventilate when you're a quadriplegic.

I won’t vote for Rubio because he was so wrong on immigration.

But he is a sharp speaker and could have been a force to be reckoned with had he not gone off the rails,

Some things I agree with him on, but he blew it.

Just goes to show you, don’t put stock in anything these political pundits preach. When Trump first came on the scene of presidential politics, Kraut and the rest of Fox News all stars gave him a zip, zero, nada chance of getting the nod.

I'm a Cruz guy, but it really seems to be shaping up that way. However I will not throw in the towel until SC.

I will get behind whomever has a clear lead in actual votes at that point (Cruz or Trump) and crawl over broken glass to vote for either against cankles or bernie the red. But if, God forbid, it's somehow rubato who gets the nomination, I will hold my nose and still vote for him in the general.
