Because that meme is only a falsity devised to hurt Trump. It has failed and Trump supporters aren’t buying the trick.

The NR pile on is proof.

If Trump says Cruz is a liar, corrupt and owned by big business, it is true and a fair thing to say.

If someone thinks Trump’s record is not conservative, it is an outrage! Disgusting! The bastards are trying to force their views down our throats! Kill them!

Me? I find the disconnect symptomatic of an America deep into tribalism and voting by emotion. I’ve grieved for my country for a long time, and am reaching the point of not recognizing it at all.

So the way to avoid being disappointed by conservatives who don't follow through on their promises is to elect someone who isn't conservative. That way, you know ahead of time that he'll push a moderate to liberal agenda, and so won't be disappointed.

I fail to see how that is an improvement.

My logic for voting for Trump in the general election is at the least, he'll give ws better Court nominees than would the Dems. But then again, he did just start quoting Lawrence Tribe, so i guess you never know....

Great video! Will definitely be sharing it.

She says what I have been saying lately... if Beck, MeGYN, Lowry, Hume, Will and others of their ilk are considered “conservative enough”, then I want no part of it. I am not a liberal, but I am not like them.

Their behavior is despicable and I and will not vote for any candidate they stand for. They are representative of their candidate.

I have read that kind of thing from both sides.

Cruz has his ducks in a row with the Jeb and Kasich pacs trying to take out Trump.

That kind of makes it even, and some could say that Cruz is the one courting the GOPe with the same kind of credibility.

Because he's in a cage match, Cruz is trying to claim that Trump is the GOPe choice daily.

Trump being the favorite of the GOPe is about as credible as Donald saying Cruz is a nasty guy.

Why are some of the GOP establishment going for Trump and not Cruz? Simple, they’ve figured out which way the wind is blowing and want in. If Trump wins the primaries and nomination an d the Presidency, they will congratulate themselves for being so far seeing. If not, then Trump never had a chance anyway. It was those rubes of the base who led us to this defeat. If Trump wins, you can be guaranteed the GOP elite establishment will try to undermine him at every turn. Trump represents a threat to the Uniparty way of running things.

Conservatives are the Blacks on the GOP plantation.

This is exactly right. I've been using this same analogy for over a year, ever since the complete sellout of conservatives became obvious after the last election.

I agree with your entire post...Trump is the only guy running who has a shot at making a real difference in Washington. I know that he's probably going to take some positions as President that will give me agida, but I also know that he will put America first and fight for this country. Trump's not saying anything new about his fundamental policy positions. Read any of his books, or look at his video's from decades ago. He was saying the same things then and he was right. He's got my full support.

Roger Stone???? Formerly married to the founder and Chairwoman of "Republicans for Choice?" Roger Stone who infamously worked for Tricky Dick in New Hampshire in 1972? Roger Stone who is about as sexually libertarian a menace as has ever played a major role in the GOP?

This is the same The Donald, who as owner of the Miss United States contest, insisted on allowing a "transgender" contestant to compete. Not a worthy successor to Reagan. We are all really, really, really mad at Obozo and McConnell and Ryan-o and Cantor and Boehner before them but this Trump candidacy looks more and more like cutting off our noses to spite our faces and MAY become a preference only by comparison to the Arkansas Medusa and Comrade Sanders but not by much.

When The Donald is a memory, there will still be principled conservatives struggling to bring the actual conservative movement back together. May Almighty God send us another generation of leaders such as Bill Buckley, Bill Rusher, Frank Meyer, Will Herberg, Willmoore Kendall, James Burnham, Whittaker Chambers and those who were the founders and editors of National Review when it was created by Bill uckley to "stand athwart the tides of history, yelling: STOP!"

Just as Scripture is forever, so the conservative movement will continue and adhere to its principles, Donald or no Donald, as long as God may permit the United States to endure.

It is the principles of the rich tapestry of conservatism that matter. Trump is no friend of either. IF he is nominated, I will vote for him over the Demonrat du jour, but it would be the hardest vote I would ever cast. It would be buying the proverbial pig in a poke. Being a smidgeon better than anything named Clinton, Sanders, or Romney is no cause for enthusiasm.

God bless you and yours, pastor!

That’s not Cruz claiming anything...that’s from the GOPes own mouths...And that’s just the results from this past week and one Google search.

I don’t necessarily disagree with the premise of your argument, but I would submit that, since NONE of the establishment candidates are at the top of GOP polls anywhere, conservatives are fleeing the GOP plantation in droves.

To paraphrase a bit, I agree that there is no monolithic conservative movement, per se. Like the tea party movement itself, conservativism includes - or should include - conservatives of all stripes who are fed up with the role of government, media, academia and law, i.e., progressivism, in destroying our country and intruding on absolutely every aspect of our lives.

I agree with the fact that Cruz may not be able to unite conservatives of all stripes and that Trump may be able to unite not only conservatives, but a helluva lot of moderates and a pretty decent number of Democrats. I do not, however, agree with the fact that Cruz is the latest version of Dole/McCain/Romney and a stalking horse for the establishment. There isn’t one shred of evidence that he has any support within the GOP establishment, whereas Trump is (apparently) gaining the support of at least some establishment politicians who absolutely hate Ted Cruz.

I’d put Harris Faulkner in there instead. In terms of seriousness, she makes Kelly look like an amateur.

Love Harris Faulkner! Fair minded, proper decorum. She'd be a much better choice than that witch that I never watch anymore and didn't like her even before she showed her super nasty side.

Trump has made a lifetime of making deals. Why do you presume that if he wins he will not do more of the same, when the simple APPEARANCE of getting his way will be sufficient?
