Cruz won Texas on Drudge “who won the debate?” poll, but nowhere else; what now for supporters?

Donald Trump has done it again. The Drudge post-debate survey shows he won going away with more than 54% and beat Ted Cruz by about 19 points.

The internal results of the Drudge Report’s on line one vote per person survey show Texas Senator Ted Cruz barely pulled out his home state 46/44 over Trump.

The follow numbers appear on twitter but it was not possible to find an individual link for the data on a state by state basis. Those who want to draw some comfort from telling themselves that these numbers are suspect are welcome to do so; but here they are.

Note Trump numbers are rounded down and Cruz numbers are rounded up to provide the clearest picture possible.

As per Drudge, those voting from Florida supported Trump by 58/28.

Those voting from New York supported Trump 58/29.

Those voting from South Carolina supported Trump 50/36.

Those voting from New Hampshire supported Trump 51/34.

Those voting from Iowa supported Trump 48/37.

Of perhaps worse news for Cruz is that a new Reuters/Ipsos survey shows that 25% of Republicans think he is not eligible...

Well, he was a registered Democrat a scant 5 years ago and has donated large sums to Democrat candidates/causes celebre including but certainlnly not limited to the Clintons.

That’s enough for me.

Reagan didn’t bash parts of the nation. He put forward big ideas to appeal to the everyman. Trump knows this and is trying to do the same.

Rush just said what I have been saying
POLLS SHOW CRUZ IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN BEAT TRUMP.
If you bother to look at internals were available and fav/unfav - Cruz does better than DT.
Even in NH - head to head he beats DT.

The poll is a fraud. I went to it as the debate began and people had already voted.

[Perhaps, but Reagan was a conservative.]

‘Conservatism; is not just certain checkmarks under particular columns.

It is a desire and determination to preserve liberty and freedom for our next generation.

Trump will definately do that!

Vote only once? You know if you delete your browser cookies you can vote over and over again, right? That Drudge poll is as reliable as an Obama red line.

And you know that how? Because he tells you he will? His previous positions are troubling and need to be addressed. Can an candidate evolve? Certainly, but with a candidate like Trump it looks more like doing it whatever it takes to “close the deal.”

Trump voted for Obama that makes him ineligable in my book.

He did not vote for Obama.

He publicly endorsed both McCain and Romney.

You’re right, it’s an ideology, a set of core beliefs of which Trump does not possess.
