Just having a little fun at Cruz's expense but his talk about New York values is a little stupid.
New York - be it the city or the state or the tri-state area (NJ, CT and sometimes PA) is pretty conservative in a lot of things. For example, there is less out of wedlock births and less crime than many cities in the so called south these days and if you want to judge by divorce rates, NY and NJ rank at last while 'traditional values' states rank the highest.
Texas is one of the leading divorce rates states.

The 2013 New York mayoral race only had a turnout of 24% of registered voters, I think that is a record low. Of them, De Blasio won 73%.

Why apologize to people that would have never voted for him in the first place. Still there are few conservatives left in New York who will continue to share his values and maybe vote for him. The rest can vote for whoever they want. That's their choice.
Ted can't compromise his values or opinions for the sake of political correctness to satisfy the majority of New York liberals. So what if they are offended? You can't be a true conservative and support liberal values. The two don't mix. We have too many like that already in Washington. So my advice is stand firm.
Texans elected him to the Senate to do that and so far he has not disappointed us. So give'em hell Ted and may the force be with you.

I wonder if it bothers Trumpsters that their boy pretty much admitted last night he'll lie if it benefits him...i.e., explaining that he changed his tune on Cruz's birth because of polls. The lying sleaze.

It was a stupid remark by Ted Cruz, especially considering that his wife works for the preeminent New York investment bank. Evidently making a lot of money is a New York value the Cruz’s approve of.
As for Trump, he started the whole ruckus with his Trumped-up birther attack on Cruz, after signing off on his qualified status last September. If I ever shake hands with Trump I will need to count my fingers afterward to make sure they are all still there.

I can be critical of liberals and not an entire state of people. I love visiting NYC. Cruz will beg for forgiveness. Apology will be accepted and this will all be forgotten next week.
