Just having a little fun at Cruz's expense but his talk about New York values is a little stupid.
New York - be it the city or the state or the tri-state area (NJ, CT and sometimes PA) is pretty conservative in a lot of things. For example, there is less out of wedlock births and less crime than many cities in the so called south these days and if you want to judge by divorce rates, NY and NJ rank at last while 'traditional values' states rank the highest.
Texas is one of the leading divorce rates states.

Yeah, NYC... conservative in so many ways. Notice how they ignore actually-conservative up-state NY, and instead drag in NJ and CT instead. Sigh.
And yet there are stories in today’s news that Cuomo says pro-life, pro-natural marriage, and pro-2nd amendment viewpoints are not in line with New York values.
I grew up in NYS (way upstate). I know the political values and NYC worldview are not universal. But I also know they are antithetical to freedom.

I suspect some of them here understand it, too, but they see an opportunity to attack Cruz or else they just want to go along with their pack.
Why does the liberal media hate Cruz so much? People should ask themselves that question.

This whole thing started from a interview that Trump had with Tim Russert in 1999...not sure what the big deal is when all Cruz was doing is stating the FACT that in the interview Trump supports certain liberal ideologies and Trump said “well, I am from New York”. Those are the New York values that Cruz is referring to...

Most people in this nation say they dont “trust” the media like they say they dont like congress, but then vote for their sitting congressman every time.
And the “media” isnt just newspapers. It’s late-night talk shows, websites like Buzzfeed, and HuffPo, and even people on YouTube and Twitter. Places where people DO listen and trust what they say.
