Just a thought.

If this *is* a political ploy, it's working beautifully.

Marie, you are much too kindhearted.

These people are the trainers, who’ve kept us under the GOP lash.

We’ve gotten loose.

They’re trying to lasso us back in.

Slip the noose, Marie. These people mean us no good thing.

It’s an interesting thought, that they are applying reverse psychology.

But I don’t think so. I don’t think they’re that smart. They also don’t want change - they want everything the liberals want and Trump will ruin that for them. They are also so hateful and truly angry that I don’t think they’re faking it.

The conservative base was infuriated long before this election cycle.

George Will, Jonah Goldberg, Bill Kristol, and all the rest are not conservative. They are establishment uniparty hacks whose sole purpose is to sell loser establishement candidates and take down conservative ones on behalf of super PAC donors representing special interests running counter to the interest of the American people. When have we *ever* seen the conservative talking heads and bloggers behave this way as a group?
**************************************

Never. They don’t work this hard against Democrats.

What we have discovered is that they all work for The Cheap Labor Express. They are Democrats in R jerseys.

No. These Jackasses are cocktail party establishment parasites who live off this republicrat capitulation. They co-opt conservationism and tell you that it means invading countries on false pretenses so they can make money there. They pander to illegal aliens and destroy our sovereignty so they can make money there. It is all about their Brown stone in Virginia and their Lexus. But hereis what I want— I want Trump to destroy their little villages and salt their fields so they will never reemerge. EVER.

You’re giving these people way more credit for intelligence than they deserve. The simplest scenario is that these folks are joined at the hip with the GOPe and can’t stand for an outsider to crash “their” party.

I was too young to pay attention in '79, but I can imagine the GOPer pundits behaving as badly against Reagan as they are now against Trump.

Michael Medved has been bashing Cruz more than Trump, but he’s been giving Trump plenty of flak.

Could this be a brilliant strategy to whip up the conservative base, infuriate them, to actually *get* them to stand strong behind their candidate?

A party that gave us Juan McLame and Mittens Romney? The party that gave us Sarah Palin, then hung her out to dry? The party that has repeatedly clutched defeat from the jaws of victory?

I remember watching Juan in a debate with Zero. I don't remember the question, but I remember my reaction to it. It was like when I played softball and that sweet pitch comes in, your eyes go wide, time slows down, you get the self satisfied smile and schlong the he** out of it.

EXCEPT, McLame stopped and walked away.

I remember it vividly...
because I was yelling at the TV...
And I knew right there that it was over and that we were sold a bill of goods.

We got a majority in office and we got Boehner, who just bent over and let the dems have their way. When we finally did get rid of him, we got Ryan (Romney's running mate) who just recently crumbled to the dems. They have the backing of the people in the party, they just refuse to stand on conservative principals.

They have repeatedly demonstrated that they don't respect the people.

McLame himself calls the Tea Party extremists and nut jobs.

Let's be clear, the GOPe EXPECT US to get in line with them. They have no interest in what we want. Both Cruz and Trump are bucking the GOPe. The polls show that the people are overwhelmingly against business as usual, the GOPe just doubles down on Bush or others like him.

The GOPe is not that smart, and besides, they genuinely are petrified (and hate) Trump and Cruz more than Hillary because they know that either Trump or Cruz mean that business as usual will come screeching to a halt, whereas with Hillary, nothing will change, including for the minions and string-pullers of the GOPe.

Nope, NOT a “ploy”; they hated Reagan too and also went after him; though not quite as rabidly.

No. They are all part of the Uniparty.

The GOPe is happy being the (dis)loyal opposition and controlling Congress during another Clinton administration. They prefer that.

They HATE conservatives (though Trump is ideologically a moderate).

The Chamber of Commerce has dedicated 100 million to defeat ‘Tea Party’ candidates next time out. They don’t want anyone rocking the boat.

Our republic has become a sham. The players change turns driving the car, but they are all inside driving us over the cliff. As long as the GOPe gets their goodies (political spoils) and maintain power, they are happy.

Conservatives want power to accomplish specific goals. The Uniparty’s goal is power itself.

Trump has exposed Fox and many politicians as part of the Uniparty.

Paul Ryan telling us “this is not who we are” - taking a page from Obama’s b.s.? Importing hundreds of thousands of foreigners to take American’s jobs and possibly blow them up is apparently who they think we are.

The GOPe is a crony capitalist cabal which uses its fake opposition to the Leftists to dupe the public and steal their votes.

And they wonder why we are mad?

Will, Kristol, Krauthammer and the rest of the GOPe intelligentsia believe that Donald Trump is an existential threat to the Republican Party, and if he is the nominee he will forever destroy the party and make it toxic with minority voters.

They have bought into the cultural marxist frame and instead of fighting it wish to surrender and offer up a loser candidate like JEB!

Of course these OLD RINOS are ignoring the demographics Trump is bringing to the table: Blue collar people from EVERY race and creed who are sick and tired of being screwed over by both parties. This demographic has seen their jobs shipped overseas, their salaries frozen, and their quality of life plummet. Many of these are former dems or moderate Republicans who for 20+ years have watched their country fall apart around them. And they are ANGRY.

By ignoring these people the GOPe are ignoring the core that made AMERICA GREAT!

If RINCE PUBUS has a brain in his head he would tell the old Queens in the GOPe to shove it and let the best man win instead of playing games. In the end the smart move is to embrace the wave of support that Trump brings instead of attacking it.

That may be the result but it's definitely not a strategy.

The strategy of Will, Kristol, Goldberg, et al is, "we'll get 'em next time."

Umm- forever?

It’s no ploy- they hate Donald and Cruz- with a passion- and they can’t contain themselves- their inner democrat is bursting out of them

It begins to make sense when considering that these GOPe pundits have alot to lose should GOPe go down in flames.

They will be shown to be of inconsequential value, politically speaking. A career change perhaps.

They will kick and scream and must be defeated, surely as the Democratic regime and it’s MSM allies must be defeated.
