Ted Cruz does not own the media. He has some very good ideas and can articulate them very well, but to get his message out as a presidential candidate, he would have to pay for virtually every minute of his coverage.
This is true because the only possible way the media can get Hillary Clinton elected is to give Cruz the same treatment they gave Mitt Romney in 2012; and they will.
All the excitement about finally taking back the White House fades away with a candidate that canât defeat âthe treatmentâ the media always gives Republican candidates. Cruz canât.
When Romney talked about how 47% of voters would never vote for him: the media savaged him and never gave him a chance to explain what he meant. They used it to inflame the âoffendedâ to increase their turnout.
Recall Romneyâs âWomen Book,â an honest attempt to give women a fair chance to be hired. Romney was savaged over it and never given a fair chance to explain it. The media didnât have to and didnât want to; so they ignored his explanation. They owned Romney; he got only the coverage they deigned to give him. They will do the...

This article is exactly right. Cruz will have zero weapons to resist or correct the leftist narrative, which will be a doozey against Cruz.
He lost because thousands of Republicans across the country stayed home on voting day.
If he would have gotten the votes Sarah Palin got for MeCain, he would be in office today.
More GOPe crap from old Coach, who posts and runs, and never takes part in his own threads.
But I’ll give you this-—you provided me with a really good laugh.
LOL
Yup. Iâm even less likely to vote for Trump than I was for Romney.
I’m a Cruz supporter all the way but if Trump gets the nomination, I will vote for him. To give Hitlery my vote by not voting for Trump would be foolish.
In many ways Hitlery would make Obama look tame.
He was Hillary’s “Plus one” at Trump’s wedding.
BULL!
None of the “mad as hell” voters believe Cruz is part of the establishment.
The stay at homes deserve what they get a lose their right to complain.
“We need to nominate him and find out.”
“Yup!”
DITTO!
Trump would roast Hillary alive. Cruz will not bring in any blue collar Democrats, women or minorities, and his melting face is not exactly telegenic.
I’m not sure which one of them he’s crushing on harder.
“Yup. Iâm even less likely to vote for Trump than I was for Romney.”
So, you’d rather have Hillary than *any* of the GOP candidates? That attitude is why we have been cursed by Obama for two terms - too many voters stayed home.
Man up, you squishy losers! The Dems keep putting up extremist leftist candidates, while we run from the fight and nominate ideologically fuzzy drips.
Nominate a real live conservative this time. We will win.
The media is going to give anybody the same treatment in the general. They did it to their own golden boy McCain.
“But the media” is the WORST reason to vote or not vote for a candidate.
Romney lost because he’s a wimpy liberal that really didn’t want to win.
Yeah, because Trump standing there with his nose in the air, mugging and making faces, with his combover and his turkey neck, looks so good.
Chase after those magic minorities/women/crossovers if you want, even after being shown over and over that they don't put us over. Romney won the moderates---look what it got him. What we need is the conservative base and the evangelicals.
Good guy that Cruz is this is all true. Trump fortunately does have the broad appeal needed to win a general election and he pretty well closed the deal Tuesday evening in Las Vegas. Trump is cruzing toward the finish line in grand style. He will steamroll Hillary Clinton and right into the Whitehouse.
OMG
I’ve never thought of or heard that before.
LOL
Projection FAIL.
You’re soccer wife where you get your political opinions? She sounds so smart.
