So, if Carson's offensive persists, do you foresee this "gotcha" Politico story as helping to boost his campaign??

Actually, I agree with Ben on the Trans/Bathrooms. Just construct a third one for ‘Other” or All. Schools, hospitals and businesses have had this decision forced upon them by the courts. Fair or not, we have no choice now a days. Let them flush it, but in their own space, away from people who don’t agree with their way of seeing reality. Take the battle out of the bathrooms.
I swear, most the time, it looks like Dr. Carson has just smoked a full bowl of Turkish Delight Hashish. Yes, looks can deceive, especially when sitting next to to hyper-extroverted individuals like Trump or Carly.

Exactly and doubling down on the pyramid thing. I think Carson is self destructing. It would have been real easy to swat both these issues away.

If he worded it better, it is a good idea. A small generic bathroom is a good idea. A parent can take their kid in, a spouse or adult child assist a handicapped family member, or one of the trans mental cases can use it.
Will that "Other" restroom be for both male-to-female and female-to-male transgenders, like these two cases (Chastity Bono and Bruce Jenner)?
If so, will they still encounter this problem in those kinds of restrooms?

Hunt introduced me to General Westmoreland, and I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners. Later I was offered a full scholarship to West Point. I didn’t refuse the scholarship outright, but I let them know that a military career wasn;t where I saw myself going.

I was so proud to lead the Memorial Day parade, a heavy cluster of medals and braids on my chest. I got to meet two Vietnam War veterans who had won the Congressional Medal of Honor, as well as Gen. William Westmoreland. Later, I was offered a scholarship to West Point, which I eventually turned down. It flattered me, though, and proved that Mother was right all along when she constantly told me I could do anything I set my mind to.
In the nest chapter he talks about his hard work paying off and dozens of colleges offering him scholarships. He narrowed his choices to Yale and Harvard.
I had the book sitting here but hadn't read it and didn't intend to read it, not that I didn't respect Dr. Carson, but if I read every book by every political writer, it's impossible. I read the web.
Now Rush is saying the Politico story is an outright lie. But it seems to be about saying the campaign gave Politico something which they didn't.
Rush is defending him. I just wrote what he said. Make up your own mind.
Except that neither West Point or the Army or anyone else has found any evidence that an appointment was ever offered to begin with much less turned down. So I'd say I'm not the one doing the swallowing.
