The deadly crush that occurred at the haj near Mecca last month killed at least 2,070 people.
The figure, compiled by journalists, is nearly triple the number accounted for in a death toll maintained by Saudi authorities, figures show.
Reuters calculated the toll from information provided by the state, religious authorities and local media reports in the home countries of the victims.
They would make the disaster the worst to befall the annual pilgrimage since 1,400 people were crushed to death in a tunnel in 1990.
Saudi officials have stood by their official counts of 769 dead and 934 injured, which have not been updated since two days after the crush.

Good.
How can you keep straight who is dead when everyone is named Mohammad?
Now we need about a million more of these and we’ll really be good.
Muslims lie? Naahhhh...
Yeah...it’s a start
They need to hold the event more often.
The Mecca Mosh Pit. Rock the Casbah.
How about making this a monthly event?
Yeesh! Sounds like quite a hajj podge.
No, but really, I was going to take my coworker to Mecca this year. I’ve got a HUGE crush on her.
We were actually late getting to the Stone-the-Satan game, so I told her to step on it!
That wasn’t the only game there by the way. There was bingo, too! Good times: F-16... B-52...
No, but seriously, other than that, hajj you like Mecca?
Please tip your waitress. I’ll be here all week!
Mentality decreases as the Mob size increases. Add islam and the stupid burns and can get people killed.
Whodathought a herd of mindless zombies would have injuries?
More please.
A start.
Lets do this every week.
If you consider the future psychotic jihadists that won’t be born, it’s even better.
IF it be the will allah..then hope they enjoy their reward.
I heard it was more like FOUR thousand.
And let’s not forget inbreeding by cousin marriage and 10-20 IQ dropped on average as a result...
How do we make this a weekly event?
