I don’t know who this Amy Schummer is.
I wonder how many armed guards welcome Amy into SNL studios. Let’s remove those armed guards they have protecting the cast members and see how they react
In a late sketch Schumer portrayed a little girl speaking at a town council meeting. In praising the Bible, being portrayed as a hypocrite for being Pro-Life and Pro-Gun, and saying gay marriage is “not natural”, the little girl was mocked as a dumb Southern yap.
I watched the clip of the skit earlier tonight, and kinda had to scratch my head. It wasn’t funny or edgy, to be certain. (What on SNL is these days?) But neither was it the sort of nasty, bashing political material you’d see back when Al Franken wrote for the show. It was just silly and irrelevant, IMHO. I don’t really see the point of it.
Shouldn’t a comedian be funny every once in a while? Thought that used to be a requirement.

Does anyone remember when Charlton Heston was guest on SNL? He had a good skit about the 10 COMMANDMENTS and his NRA Presidency.
Anyone remember another SNL skit in which the motto was “SHOW US YOUR GUN!” As they pass by people on the street they all pull out guns. When they pass a mobster he reaches into his jacket and his lawyer stops him from showing his firearm.
I can’t believe that the moronic SNL is still on TV. That crap hit bottom a long time ago. I guess the pothead college kids keep it around.

Haven’t watched SNL since Belushi was on and I was stoned. Maybe 40 years ago?
I remember the good old days when we paid comedians to be funny....
I actually LOVE this commercial. I agree with the sentiment! Guns should be a part of our everyday lives! Engagements, marriages, new jobs, newborns... there is not a single place, event, or celebration in this wonderful world that guns don’t make better!
Huh? You'll have to explain that one.
