14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, who made headlines last week after he was arrested for bringing a homemade clock into school, has already received praise from a number of familiar names such as Barack Obama and Facebooks Mark Zuckerberg. Now, to Mohameds further delight, tech giants Microsoft have pledged their allegiance to the whizz-kid in generous fashion.
The multinational technology firm expressed their support for Ahmed, not through kind words, but by sending the young engineer a huge hamper of tech goodies, including a Cube 3D printer.

OMG!
as if he may not be dangerous enough already?! (per so many published reports anyway)
what in the WORLD would be Micro-soft’s purpose in such an odd gesture? why send the kid anything? why from Microsoft? why not send him something safety-enhancing like maybe a bicycle helmet? or at least safety=neutral like maybe a tv set?
it doesn’t appear to make any business sense

Har - Microsloth giving him all that stuff is like giving a chest of Snap-On tools to a chimpanzee. Wonder how much of it has been sold through daddy's business already.

Correct-a-mundo. The little creep admits to taking to his engineering teacher first who told him not to show the thing around school. Yet he continued to bring around to class rather than leave it in his locker.Apparently he showed it to multiple teachers and eventually had to plug the thing in to the wall and set the alarm to go off during class before he finally got the response he wanted. To quote a famous Freeper: "this should be pursued aggressively."

The Microsoft Cube 3D is a piece of junk (59% one-star reviews on Amazon), so hopefully he won’t be using it to build fake or real bombs.

It still irritates me that the little publicity terrorist and his publicity terrorist Dad and dad’s friends are getting the attention they wanted.
This is terrorism. It is also a softening up operation.

So now the little mohamhead can cast his own detonator tubes instead of using spent brass like his jihadi brethren.

I just heard on Fox News that the boy genius just removed a Radio Shack clock from its case (making it look like a bomb) and didn't assemble or invent anything.
