I read Donald Trump's position paper on the Second Amendment yesterday. If you haven't seen it yet, here is a LINK. The most salient point he makes is right up front, where it should be:
The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed upon. Period.
Here is a suggestion for the Trump Campaign... (if you dare).
Do a remake of the William Shatner/Denny Crane mugging scene with Trump in the lead role, and a Yeb Bush lookalike in the secondary role. Tell me this wouldn't make a great commercial!

One of the false claims that people make against Trump is that he is a gun grabber. This is not actually the case and never has been.
THis is the money quote in Trumps stance on Gun Ownership
