September 18, 2015 Poll: Fiorina Takes Lead In New Hampshire Post-Debate By Mark Hensch

A Voter Gravity poll released Friday shows Fiorina with 22 percent support among Granite State GOP primary voters. She has a 4-point edge over her nearest competitor, billionaire Donald Trump, who has 18 percent support.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson nets 10 percent support, with the poll finding no other Republican White House hopeful cracking double digits in the first-in-the-nation primary state.

The poll found Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) and former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) tied with 9 percent each.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) follows with 7 percent while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) trail him with 6 percent each.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) nabs 3 percent in New Hampshire, while Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-Ark.) tie at 2 percent.

All other GOP presidential candidates, Voter Gravity added, got 6 percent overall.

Voter Gravity’s poll surveyed 2,839 New Hampshire Republican primary voters via touchtone phones on Thursday.

The poll was conducted after Fiorina’s strong performance in the second televised GOP presidential debate Wednesday night.

Icarly should be now getting thousands for her rallies.

Trump as of yesterday, had 3,000+ in New Hampshire in an over heated, and overflowing, crowded building. Small by his standards, but very large for everyone else in the race.

I’m looking for those large iCarly crowds , but so far I haven’t found no more than about 15 in a picture. LoL.

These polls are BS, we're getting polling calls 3 or 4 times a day now. I really liked the one that wanted you to press a button if you would vote for a particular candidate.

"Press 1 for Jeb Bush"...

Trump was down around number 8 on the list.

No bias there.

Voter Gravity is interesting. They sell their services to Republicans. They have polling tools that integrate with the RNC database. I expect ‘establishment’ Republican voters are over represented.

There you are a Karl 'Tokyo' Rove poll. LoL

The only polls that matter are the one I agree with.

Their board is populated by Bush folk and Google folk both so I think you’re speculation on their bosses is accurate.

But their technology is orders of magnitude better than Romney’s Orca crap.

Not much history on polling though. So for now I take their methodology with a grain or two.

No, it’s legit in it’s way. It’s just not like the usual poll.
These are hard-core Republicans they are canvassing.
These polls can’t be looked at like the polls we’re used to seeing.
IF it was done in the style they specialize in. They just say ‘touchtone poll’ so I may be assuming too much.

I don't think her performance was that strong. It was a good performance but not an excellent one. She seemed stiff and rehearsed. She needs to relax more. The abortion question was telling, it is a baby not a fetus and once out of the womb a human being with all the rights thereof and in this case an American citizen. That baby was murdered and butchered. The perps have walked and not one of the candidates on that stage called it murder.

On the subject of the Iran Treaty, I think we have missed the net result. The new Islamic Calipath will effectively be protected by nuclear weapons once Iran gets them. They will then do whatever they damn well please and on one will challenge them. I was not impressed by any of the candidates on this issue. We have one option IMHO and that is to eliminate the mullahs and their support structure. And our candidates should lay the cause of the Iran problem right at Jimmy Carter's and the democrat party's feet. Don't forget to include the blame for, all the deaths, murder, mayhem, and enslavement, the world's Islamic friends in Terhan have caused.

Sorry for the disjointed rant.

Is this like the internal Walker poll from last week that says he is leading in Iowa?

They did not use apps for the poll. The only requirement was a touch tone phone.

But you will be happy to know that the group concedes it is only a snapshot of a fluid event and does not mean much.

Not disjointed at all. Well said.

I think it was Fiorina’s after debate “rave reviews” on all tv channels and newspapers that has catapulted her over the top. The Donald needs to step up his game and start ad buying instead of relying on free tv coverage if he plans to get back to the game.

The old vapid nonsense that “things are really bad, there are bad guys, and we must look into all that,” or that he’ll get national security conscious by learning stuff “after he is elected,” isn’t going to wash anymore.

All I’m trying to say (badly) is that the pollees will include a lot of “Party first” people.
Polls of those people are important and very useful, but different.

But since they don’t say just what their methodology was in this case they could have just random-dialed.

I think they are as accurate as you can get in a fluid situation. They only poll Republicans who have voted in the last three election cycles. They may have biases built into their sampling but their statistical methodology otherwise appears to be fine.

No worries. I think you are correct. The board is populated by establishment R’s. If there is bias it is in the direction you say because I doubt they are capturing new voters Trump is pulling into the R primary.

so you give them credit when all the other polls on Aug 11 had Trump leading Iowa? Sorry, but that’s a hard sell

They only poll Republican likely voters and they only get hired if their methods are accurate. Eating is a great motivator. :-)

PS: See #37. Mr. Smith identified a possible flaw in their methodology. They only poll likely R voters who have actually voted in the past three cycles. This would cause them to miss new voters Trump and Carson are bringing in as well as missing any trends from independents who will vote in the R primary.
